Pretty sure sakurai said rayman isn't ever going to happen. Ubisoft wanted him in really badly.

So I was looking the ORAS leaks and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with the game. The fact that there aren't any more Megas is kinda sad, but I got Mega gallade so I can't complain to much.

Seriously though, a stage based on the Legendary Starfy series would be amazing at the very least.

On the 3D Flying Man, I'm wondering if it is really a scrapped concept, and Sakurai settled with 2D sprites in the end (who knows, could be technical reasons...).

1. It only gains 80 base stats
2. It learns different moves
3. It's design is awful to different

Really though, imagine Rayman and Snake. If we have 8 player Smash, we could have all of the third parties and Mario in a fight.

I was clearly joking about the Squeenix rep.

But I'm dead serious about Rayman and Snake. Rayman is in the game, so the licensing is done, it's just a matter of making him a playable character and adding him as DLC. Snake is a veteran and there should be no trouble adding him back.

I don't think five third parties would be too much.

We have to hope, we know that Kojima at least still wants Snake. If Sakurai and Kojima got back in touch about it (I can't see how neither of them wouldn't bring Snake up in conversation at some point) there's nothing really stopping him from coming back.
