I have all sort of tricks and traps I set up on the stage that work with ANY other fighter

But little mac battles are just too fast paced they don't work

Just finally completed Smash Run in 1st place with everyone.

Highest score is 141953 with :4dk:.

Take in mind I did it with no powers or custom moves... man, that sounded suicidal.
Yeah, in my first run-through with everyone I just turned off customs so computers don't have powers or customs at the start either. Now I just pick random each time as I attempt to unlock more moves because I'm too lazy to come up with a set of powers and moves for characters.

So not every post I make will be an update.

I've completed three characters.
And one of them (Palutena) doesn't even count.

What method did you use to get them all?
Lots and lots of Smash Run in a dorm with no way to connect my 3DS to the internet.

Single-player was all I had, lol.

I've found a pretty solid method to winning matches.

Step One: Play as Olimar.

Step Two: Laugh as they have no idea how to react to someone using Olimar as you proceed to win.

I've found Pichu to have similar results. :p

It may help that Olimar is still awesome in Brawl, unlike how awesome Pichu was in Melee. Competitively speaking, that is. Olimar's partial nerf of his number of Pikmin probably makes his strength look deceiving.

Also, Smashboards, stop lagging. Seriously. I can barely type a decent message. :|

Not that long ago I finally managed to beat a Clobberskull in Smash Run. I think I did it with Falco or Mega Man. Can't remember which. Way harder than the Polar Bear and Bulborbs. They are just beefy.

I versed an Olimar in For Glory 1v1 today, didn't lose to it in the three matches we had.
They then switched to Mega Man for two more matches and the person I was playing against won the first match, but not the second.

Mine would have to be (In no particular order)

Kid Icarus
Smash
Pokemon
Fire Emblem
Bravely default

as a 6th I'd put Harvest Moon simply because how much time I put into it

However, I never figured out how to marry someone in that game.

It was a lot easier to marry someone in the older harvest moons

On the other hand, while I never married anyone, I've NEVER had a more successful farm with prize winning cattle

I'm using the Great King now as my profile avatar in Smash, but I had Dark Pit before.

DHD actually has a really good move for dealing with little mac

His down tilt

at 40% it can knock someone clear across the stage, in a straight line

Use it on mac near the side and he's not coming back

Mac's fantastic but his stuff isn't omnipotent on shield. It's just really dumb/hard on wifi, but his grab is laggier than most.

In real play, shield to moving forward and shielding again is something Mac doesn't have an immediate means of dealing with other than grab (which is slower than most characters). A power shield on Mac should be a solid punish. People with long range 2-3 frame options can shield drop -> attack faster than Mac can; Falco's jab wrecks Mac in CQC out of shield (and with power shields dash attack is great).

I just play Pikachu.

How many thunder jolts was that? Who cares. FULL HOP PIKAAAAAAAAA CHUUUUU. Mac's either go suicide or eventually get up tilted/up aired into a back air, great stock taker.

Pikachu has his old Up A from Smash 64. That alone makes me love it~
I think Ness also has some move back from 64. It's Up A too, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, I love the new metal textures. They're now individualized for each character. You can notice some features like Mario's M letter on his hat, Sheik's Sheikah emblem on her outfit or Robin's outfit design. Pit and Dark Pit get different grey tones for their metal textures.

Attention to detail is indeed something worthy of praise.

Dark Pit and Pit have different tones for their metal forms?
Well I guess that solves my only issue with Dark Pit.

Just wait for the Wii U details. :awesome:

Also, how are Thunder Wave and ThunderShock different? At least people can stop whining that Thunder Jolt is there instead of ThunderShock. XD

Tried out in training mode by putting metallic Pit and Dark Pit side-by-side.

It's more noticeable on the wings and outfits and it's still noticeable when the camera is farther from the characters.

Just wait for the Wii U details. :awesome:
That HD greatness!

Continuing my tests on metal textures. Alt colors do not alter the metallic textures. Tried this out by going to the extreme by putting two metallic Toon Links, one on the default color and the other on the Dark Link colors.

Another interesting detail: when using Little Mac on his wireframe alt, he doesn't have voice clips. Picking up a Metal Box will keep wireframe look. The textures look metallic... So, he literally becomes made of metallic wire? I guess you could say that.

Speaking of, TVTropes has a "Chrome Champion" trope for metalized characters. Sadly, a pun was missed due to the roster choices.

So, I just found out that all Kid Icarus: Uprising characters except Pit and Dark Pit had their English language voice actors replaced. Overall, the substitutes sound good and close to the originals, but it isn't the same thing.

It's kind of disappointing, considering the Fire Emblem: Awakening characters got all VAs back except for female Robin. Same for the Xenoblade characters and Doc Louis, as well as Lucario getting his original VA from the movie.

The Japanese version managed to get a higher degree of consistency, but still props to the localization team for trying to get all the original VAs back for this game, or finding good replacements in order to keep the characters as true to their games as possible.
