• Ridley is, as we've found out on the Ridley thread together, very debatable.
• Remember what Sakurai said in I think the Melee Times? He wanted it to be more realistic. Not sure why, but he knows what he's doing. Plus their voices pretty much fit. Albeit I do want Bowser's BiS Voice, but we can't all have what we want.
• You try porting Melee files to a Wii U. Even Project M couldn't do such a thing for Mewtwo.
• ...That's because it is easier to port. Infact, Sm4sh started development IMMEDIATELY AFTER KI:U WAS RELEASED.
• "RACIST"? LOW BLOW. LOW. BLOW. UNCALLED FOR. YOU'RE EVEN USING THE TERM "RACIST" WRONG.
• Melee had clones added at the END OF DEVELOPMENT to expand the roster. Guess what other Smash Game did the same?
• Ice Climbers were cut because completely technical problems.
• Squirtle and Ivysaur are debatable, Snake I can see why he left, and Lucas and Wolf have their custom moves imported to Ness and Falco, respectively, so atleast they're there.
• It was unique and a nice twist to 1-1, I personally liked it. Plus the ?Block idea was pretty great, albeit 3D Land reused it
• OK, that I agree with, 'cuz Yellow Devil is TOO BIG. But it would've been a rather boring stage otherwise. (Pun. Intended.)
• Toon Link, Sheik, Lucina and Dark Pit are debatable, Peach's I kinda agree with, but Dedede is NOT Lazy. It's based on basically everything he could do in the NES Kirby's Adventure. Throw Bombs in the Egg Toss Minigame, and Inhale + Swing his Hammer in the fight with him. It makes sense.
• Wouldn't that cause alot of lag since all 4 people need to load the entire map, bonus areas, ect. over a Wireless Connection when they're like MILES apart?
• "Non-Canon Dumb Stuff". 10/10 Best Argument 2014-NO.
• "Sakurai wants to please the 'No other games that interest me' crowd." LOW BLOW. LOW BLOW.

So 90% of this thread like 7 pages ago was talking **** about me, my avatar, celebrating people ganging up on me for no reason when I didn't have the opportunity to defend myself or Reply back? Classy...pretty classy...and Sakurai's not a selfish, self-important dictator for not adding Ridley, he's a self-important dictator for the following reasons:
- No Battlefield versions of stages because the Japanese play FD-Only.
- Basically throwing a hissy fit at Melee by nerfing Marth and Fox to hell.
- Not adding Ridley, Mewtwo, or K.Rool, characters that shouldn't even have to be debated.
- Keeping DK and Bowser's dumb animal voices rather than making them sound like themselves.
- Using 'too hard' as an excuse to not bring back Mewtwo.
- Trying to justify his Kid Icarus bias by saying that 'the models were easier to port'.
- Not giving DK and Metroid a new stage or newcomer, guess what those two franchises have in common? They're mainly developed by non-Japanese studios, racist much?
- Bringing back one of the most hated characters (No, I don't care about how much you love Mario Tornado, Dr. Mario sucks as a character, he doesn't have any personality or feel any memorable) and adding a worthless clone that doesn't even have an interesting personality or major visual differences (Dark Pit). The only justified clone was Lucina.
- Cutting the Ice Climbers because they weren't high-priority, but he sure does have the time to add two worthless clones that only enrage the fanbase.
- Cutting Lucas, Wolf, Ivysaur, Squirtle, Snake...those were amazing characters, and most of them weren't even clones of anyone.
- Bringing back stages nobody likes like Mushroomy Kingdom.
- The Yellow Devil ruining Wily's Castle.
- Lazy Final Smashes: Toon Link, Sheik, Peach, King Dedede, Lucina, Dark Pit...
- Smash Run not being online.
- Custom movesets being mostly non-canon dumb stuff and not being available online.
- The Wii U having the roster limited by the 3DS version as if Sakurai wants to please the 'No other games that interest me' crowd.

I'm sure I could remember a few more by playing the game for a few minutes...when you play the game and something sucks big time, you can picture Sakurai pushing that concept like there's no tomorrow, probably because he thinks 'It just makes more sense' like DK and Bowser's dumb, unfitting voices..

Most of those criticisms are things a lot of people are really feeling towards the game, especially the Big 3 missing, and the lack of Battlefield versions, especially with how cool Wily's Castle's platforms are. And most were terrible excuses, I'd rather have a lesser total of Smash Run enemies than have 40% of the Smash Run enemies be Kid Icarus Uprising enemies. Kid Icarus should get the easily-recognizable enemies, Monoeyes, Reapers, those little Snake things with wings and MAYBE Clubberskulls, that's it...there's really no need to throw the entire Forces Of Nature Army there.

Also...if he can't bring Mewtwo back from Melee...well, how about ACTUALLY MAKING HIM FROM SCRATCH!? Sakurai should've looked at how requested Mewtwo was and realize that he was much higher priority than people like Dark Pit, Dr. Mario, Duck Hunt Dog, Bowser Jr., Greninja...etc.

Also, what enormous development blunder kept him from making DK and Bowser sound like DK and Bowser?

You've been hating the game all this time but you bought the game anyway? I thought you didn't support dictators...

And what @ Frostwraith said, a lot of your criticisms here narrow down to opinions and whining, and that there's a few things here that are valid from a developer's standpoint as to why they were/weren't included in the final build.

He's not trying to please you alone, he's trying to please everyone. If you can't accept the game, then trade it in for money, use that money to buy some tools and wood to build a bridge and get over it...

To be honest, it isn't *that* hard to unlock custom moves for your characters if you run through classic a few times on a higher difficulty. Use the home screen exploit to grab just equipment. It's a pain, but I'll take it over playing 20 hours to unlock Mewtwo.

I don't really like how DK sounds in the Mario Kart games. It's annoying. His gorilla like in Smash sounds are definitely more bearable. As for Bowser, I don't really care how he sounds. lol

I like Mewtwo and wanted him back for both Brawl and this game, yet I'm not whining about it.

I choose to appreciate the fact the game exists in the first place instead of pointlessly wondering about what could have been and wasting time in the process.

I don't like cut characters and indeed I find this game's stage selection a bit questionable, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy each game for what it is. The game's quality is still top notch and the game is fun to play. The essence of Smash Bros. as a massive Nintendo crossover isn't lost either, for there's still loads of fanservice and homages to many other games. In the end, that's what it matters. At least, for me.

You can play as GSC Shiny Charizard and a pallete that looks almost exactly like Shiny Greninja (albeit more purple), if that helps.
