I watched enough streams when it came out in Japan.

I'm just sitting here, trying to find something to play to get my mind off Smash so I don't go crazy knowing I don't have it yet.

...It's not working.

Sounds like characters still have their Japanese knockback yells even in the English version.
Which honestly is kinda weird.

My copy hasn't arrived yet so I decided to duke out in Brawl one last time, and it just so happened that I clocked my 1000th hour on the game. The end of an era indeed.

I went to check on my records too, and Captain Falcon holds every single record, just like he did in my Melee save. Well, every single one except Disaster Master, which Wolf and his terrible recovery took with him in the grave.

It's a sign.
You must now travel to Nintendo Headquarters in Japan and offer pizza to Iwata while wearing a Mario costume.
Then you will be granted the ability to play as King Solid Rildeytwo Climbers & Knuckles Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series.

I'm watching GameXPlains english Final Smashes video.
Meta Knights new voice is awesome but Falco Sounds like Sly Cooper.
I'm not sure how to feel.
Yeah, Meta Knight sounds cool. I just don't know why they gave him a Spanish accent in his other appearances. Nothing about him screams Spaniard aside from his cape, but that would have to be red and he'd have to be a matador for that stereotype to work.

Falco's new voice is definitely Kevin Miller. There's no mistaking his voice. It does not fit Falco well since Falco was always characterized as a Brooklyn-accented hot shot and Kevin Miller is more relaxing and calm. Fox should have been voiced by Kevin Miller.

Why? Just why? Is that really Mike West? I'm pretty sure he didn't sound that nasally and annoying in 64 or the remake. Holy hell, Fox just became confirmed as the most annoying character to me. Why not his Assault or Adventures voice actors? Hell, just pay them royalties to recycle their work. Or get James Arnold Taylor, Quinton Flynn, or Vic Mignogna. Fox isn't even based on his 64 appearance, but more on his Command appearance. Even then, I am damn sure that Mike West does not sound as annoying and nasally as that.

I love Little Mac's Hulk voice for his Giga Mac.

We'll call this the Tekken effect where characters retain their original voice for combat, but use dubbed or their original voice for cutscenes and other speech-related stuff. So, if say Character A was voiced by a Welshman, then he'll use that voice for combat, but if someone switches it to Italian, then in cutscenes and such, he'll speak Italian, but still retain his Welsh voice actor for combat.

It's really weird and seems kind of "cheap" and "lazy". It's a trait for Tekken games since they use characters from different parts of the world who speak different languages, but for other games, I don't like it especially when you see some games have like 7 different languages to choose from and none of it's copped out.

I've always thought Falco sounded like Brooklyn or something

I just realized something: Kevin Miller and Falco Lombardi. Millers are people who work or own grain mills. Grains include stuff like wheat and rye. Wheat and rye bread. Falco loves bread. Let that sink in a little bit.

He is going from 64 and his other appearances. Falco's one of the characters to keep his accent and characterization while Fox, Wolf, and more went through different voices and accents e.g. Wolf went from being posh British, gruff American, and something in-between. Krystal and R.O.B. are the other characters I remember not changing much since Krystal kept her accent and R.O.B.'s a robot so...

Sly Cooper didn't have a noticeable accent. It was just a typical American one along with his horrible Italian accent to mess with people.

Just Duck Hunt, from what I've heard.

Duck Hunt Duo is the European name.
We Europeans like to make sense out of things.

A character with a happy-go-lucky dog and bird in tow, simply named "Duck Hunt", does not make sense.

"Duck Hunt Duo" is more feasible.

I can't help but laugh at Falco's voice. At least we know he says "air" instead of "end" now, right? :p

No comment on Fox's though.
