ouch, just for l and r returning...I might just pass.
I'll tell you why: you have to have a precise combination to have a setup. It just depends on too much factors which is which is in front, which is in back (both are separate as some are only affecting the one in the front by using the one in the back...oh god). Then, which mode as which.
I end up pressing L and R, switch, L , R, R, L, switch...you get the idea there's so much combination at the end that you do just that atone point.
Even L + R didn't helped much...I think I should rexplain it by being way too simple to confound 2 combination.
For example, in TTYD, if you want to ultra hammer, you would press b and spin the stick. for ultra jump, you spin after A. For roll, after R. The first button is a one time hold andis distinctive to the other 2 button for all 3 manoeuvers thus, makes it really hard to confuse them.
In superstar saga however, you just press L and R and sometime switch over and over to get a matching stuff, you press b OR a depending on which one you want to use and you then use it...there;s like what 2 jumps front, 2 jump back, 2 hammers front, 2 hammers back, 2 powers front and finally, 2 powers back...this is a total of 14 different manouvers all by pressing l and r, I hope I'm not the only one that got very confusedabout which button to press.
So, for me it's simple, if the same thing is in other series, I'm not even trying. I really hated this so much, I'm not even giving any chances to the same thing. The game could be fantastic, and I still won't like it because this is a party pooper. It's like me sucking at 2d mario platformer (except spm because it was made to suit the rpg), Iunderstand how smw is greatly designed, but I die so much that I can't appreciate it.
Here, I get so much annoyed that it takes over and I can't appreciate the game any more.
So, if it returns, it's a big NO. I'm really serious, I never want to try this again ever or if I want to go insane that it...
