I don't even know if I should buy the new Pokemon game.
Gen 6 was just a way too big disappointment for me.
I feel the same way. Gen 5 was a bigger disappointment. Gen 6 I at least enjoyed, but still felt disappointing.

Seventeen.
Eight on the sides, eight in the middle, and one that is the entire structure.
I don't see how squares don't count because "They have lines through it"

and if you do count it that way, wouldn't the entire structure not count as one?

Who even uses Potions? I always just go to a Pokemon Center. Should've been 200 Master Balls.

And yes, if lines in the square make it uncountable, there are 16 squares. If lines do not make the square uncountable, there are 40 squares.
200 Master Balls would be insanely broken. :C

I started watching an LP of Pokémon Vietnamese Crystal. It's the best thing I've seen since I've taken interest in Engrish. :joyful:

I AM VERY DISGUSTED WITH THE TRASHY MAN. IN SPITE OF THE MONSTER, AND THE COACH, ONLY TRASHY, I WILL BEAT DOWN THEM ALL. FOR THIS I MUST STRENGTHEN MYSELF. THE MONSTER IS THE SAME TOO. COLLECT ALL THE TRASHY, RIGHTEOUS FELLOW ALL ARE UNPARDONABLE! YOU DON'T AFFECT ME. THE TRASHY STROLLING IS AN EYESORE!

Mega Blastoise is UU tier

That's pathetic

You suck gamefreak
GF also sucks at making Ice type Pokemon. It's a shame, because Ice is one of the coolest types imo.

Same here. I'm waiting for in-depth reviews on ORAS. Probably won't be a day one buy for me anyway.

Pokemon Gen 1 glitches were fun, I felt they added a lot to the enjoyment of those games. I did the Mew trick twice in one save file. So good.

I wish you started of Hoenn with a Master Ball, it would have saved me a lot of heartache...

When I was playing Sapphire years ago I had just started a new save and was on the route between Oldale and Pettleburg city catching some random Pokemon. I had run low on Pokeballs because it was early game so I decided to head back to buy some more. On the way I walked through some tall grass, and came across a Lotad, a Shiny Lotad and I only had two Pokeballs left. It escaped from both of them.

I don't know if I have ever been madder at a video game.

It's 40. Trust me, I'm a professional.
I tried to find it, but even the explanation didn't make sense to me. I'm definitely getting a straight 32. Well, whatever I'm missing just won't work outside of a ton of visual cues. Eh, either way, I still got a good chunk of it.

I think many are getting confused by this since they may be forgetting squares means the vertical and horizontal length is the exact same. That means any box alone doesn't count. If it did, that's over 40 alone. I'm sure I counted each one correctly, as specifically squares. Maybe this might require a visual showing each one. >_<

Ayy lmao

Also Fan fiction LITERALLY gone too far.
Loomanarty confirmed

That third one took me awhile, but it was amazing once I understood. Who is this guy?

I can't tell if I'm just terrible at Smash or the guy I have been playing against when I go online is just really good with landing Jigglypuff's Rest...I was told by a mutual friend that he plays competitive Melee...

I made a Toy Freddy color variation

I also made a golden Toy, attack mode Toy, and passive mode Freddy color variations

A bit of random Sonic-thought, but I was thinking.... those are some wierd power-up choices Sega made for Sonic. Shields, Wisps gems and other random things. Adding to my Sonic 64 idea from earlier in the topic, wouldnt it be more sensible to have different shoes that grand different temporary leg-abbilities? Kinda like Mario's hats from 64, or for a better example of function, Rayman's gloves from Rayman 3. The closest we ever got to that ware different gems you insert into Custom Shoes in '06, but the powers ware kinda random like making you tiny for some reason, not to mention you equipped them and was able to use them at any time, instead of being a more traditional power-up that you find in the wild. Think of Power Sneakers from the 2D Sonic games, but now theres different versions of them, they generally last longer and are required to reach certain collectables in the levels.

To be fair though, Wisps are a neat idea because they essentialy take all of Sonic's trademark abbilities and take them to the extreme, like extreme spindash (that now lets you climb walls), extreme bounce (which becomes more of a slam in that case), extreme break-gravity-to-grab-rings-in-a-chain-because-thats-a-thing-Sonic-does-I-guess (no explanation needed). But, they still feel kinda random at first.

Another neat thing would be having power-ups based on "Sonic friends" so they wouldnt be playable in the game, like Knuckles's gloves, Shadow's hover shoes, Amy's Hammer, so on and so forth. I think games that focused on having too many "Sonic friends" playable suffered from lack of focus in design, best example being Sonic Boom and '06 (Adventure games somehow managed it though, which was impressive). These characters could still appear in the game as bosses (kinda like Generations) or unlockble skins though.

I dunno, again, Im just thinking out-loud.

ouch, just for l and r returning...I might just pass.

I'll tell you why: you have to have a precise combination to have a setup. It just depends on too much factors which is which is in front, which is in back (both are separate as some are only affecting the one in the front by using the one in the back...oh god). Then, which mode as which.

I end up pressing L and R, switch, L , R, R, L, switch...you get the idea there's so much combination at the end that you do just that atone point.

Even L + R didn't helped much...I think I should rexplain it by being way too simple to confound 2 combination.

For example, in TTYD, if you want to ultra hammer, you would press b and spin the stick. for ultra jump, you spin after A. For roll, after R. The first button is a one time hold andis distinctive to the other 2 button for all 3 manoeuvers thus, makes it really hard to confuse them.

In superstar saga however, you just press L and R and sometime switch over and over to get a matching stuff, you press b OR a depending on which one you want to use and you then use it...there;s like what 2 jumps front, 2 jump back, 2 hammers front, 2 hammers back, 2 powers front and finally, 2 powers back...this is a total of 14 different manouvers all by pressing l and r, I hope I'm not the only one that got very confusedabout which button to press.

So, for me it's simple, if the same thing is in other series, I'm not even trying. I really hated this so much, I'm not even giving any chances to the same thing. The game could be fantastic, and I still won't like it because this is a party pooper. It's like me sucking at 2d mario platformer (except spm because it was made to suit the rpg), Iunderstand how smw is greatly designed, but I die so much that I can't appreciate it.

Here, I get so much annoyed that it takes over and I can't appreciate the game any more.

So, if it returns, it's a big NO. I'm really serious, I never want to try this again ever or if I want to go insane that it...
Really? I'm sorry aldelaro, but the L and R complaint you present is something I've NEVER seen anyone complain about, so I really don't know how to deal with it.
Although, if I remember correctly, the number of L&R powers is lowered in the furture M&L games, because Sueprstar Saga is the only game where you can switch between Mario and Luigi.
The PiT Powers system is weird as it involves using powers to activate other powers
BiS is plain and simple, a set for M&L, a set for Bowser
DT is the same.
In PiT, BiS, and DT Mario is pretty much always the leader.
I like PiT, in some respects it's darker than SPM in terms of story. Easily one of the darkest Mario games.
BiS is great, but I find that it has the least replay value.
DT is the best one, it's just incredible.

So we will have the reviews in a couple of days. Are we all satisfied that Smash will get a meta rating of 9 or higher? I would be surprised if it didn't score at least that. In terms of what it is as a Smash game, I don't think there are any significant flaws to prevent it scoring well, sure Smash Tour maybe could've been better, same with the stage builder but they are better than nothing and only add to the Smash experience. As long as the online runs fine and 8 player smash lives up to the hype this should have largely positive reviews. The 3DS version shouldn't be forgotten as well, currently has an 85 meta score and I think it deserves higher.

As long as it doesn't score a 10, a 8.8 or a 6 (IGN!), everything is fine by me.

There is always the one reviewer to go completely random and just pick a number out of a hat it seems for some games. Can't think of any off the top of my head but I've definitely felt that more than once. Sometimes they just can't make their minds up and it ends up getting a 6 lol, but Smash should be fine.
