Are you sure? Cuz black and white is the only games in the series noted with the point that you play as a protagonist who is an older teen.
They are also fictional characters from a video game.

Technically speaking, they are only as old as when they were created.

You are NOT taking Dawn from me
Dawn is the best.

Dawn is probably my least favourite of the female protags. May (Pre-ORAS) is where it's at.
Maybe it's just because I more or less skipped gen 3 but I never cared about May

It's Dawn flaunting that short skirt

My favorite poke girls are Dawn, Gen 5 Ace Trainer, and Gen 6 Dark Skinned Furisode Girl

I guess I haven't told why exactly I didn't like superstar saga, but if you're telling me that everything I listed changes, that might be something to know.

So, overall, the game didn't had that much impact on me. Now, I will admit there's a FEW jokes that I COULD have laugh, but most of them wasn't good tbh. It is trying to be silly, but it's like not hitting the spot I had with erathbound or any Paper Mario game (minus sticker star). That is hard to explain why maybe the jokes were too searched? Also, I didn't find fawfull relevant in any text. I really tried and I didn't. makes me wondering why he's so much quoted (honestly, quotes are underrated in Paper Mario).

So, now the environment, really same feeling. Ok, some names were silly, but that's it. I really felt it wasn't amazing in any way, just neutral. It's like it;s not bad, but failed to be great and just stays on good. Feally hard to explain it's like it was never there, but it should felt present...

The music I already told, only a few somehow did impacted me, but slightly. So much could be done that I wonder why it wasn;t beter overall...

But THE thing that really made me almost go insnae is the freaking L and R button. I really fail to get this weird gameplay. At the beginning, it's not that bad, you press wrongly and it's fixedby 2 presses, not going crazy over that right?

But when it gets into a 4 button switch when you have to carefully choose which one has which modes, which one is in front only to realise that you got the wrong setup?

You have no idea how annoying from a design perspective this induced on me. How was this a good idea? I really think there's something clearly wrong because well, I might admit the sfx for "fire" and "thunder" are funny, BUT NOT WHEN YOU REACH A POINT WHEN YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT GETTING THE FREAKING SETUP!!!

I really hated this so much. It's like it got me confused so much time that I really was redoing the same setup because I missed something for times in a row. I think that at this point, you really find the sfx annoying and just makes this experience worse...

In fact, this hurted so much my experience that at one point, I really wasn't even able to TRY to appreciate the game, it was way too much rage inducing I really need answers if I was the only one because gosh, this was one of the weirdest design decision I lived.

As for the battles...nothing but boring. Why? euh...that;s like the pm64 one, but with even less options. I didn't liked the pm64 battle system because the lack of strategy options it gave made some battles not satisfying at all which TTYD fixed so much. Here, you really have the same thing except their tentative of special attacks is just the heck?

I mean ok, I farm an attack and I get its advanced but after that...it's done?

Ok, I really don't get this. Once you're used to the inputs, there you go. At least in TTYD or even pm64, you had the chance to actually miss such as when you tilt the stick (yeah, you can miss that one more easily than you might think). Here, it's just so easy to land them that you end up farming them and it's just boring to do it over and over.

So, overall, I'm not saying it's a bad game, but strange design decision and not being that impressive prevented me from getting the slight, but probably existent appreciation.

I say it's an ok game, but really, for my first experience in the series, I really wonder if I got something wrong or I just plainly shouldn't touch to other games. I did heard praise on that one I think, and after I played, I don't get it...

So, is only superstar saga was like that?
Well, yeah, mostly. I don't really get how L and R could ever be a problem, as that mechanic always returns (But it changes Example: Fire and Thunder NEVER return). Special attacks however are different in every M&L game, as are the environments, the battle systems, and everything.
In every M&L game since SS the first special attack is the Green Shell. It's pretty easy to get down, but you can still mess up, as it gets faster and faster every time you kick it. (It's especially hard in PiT, where it's a 3 button pattern instead of 2)
Basically, what I'm saying is, if you ever get the chance to play PiT, play it, and see if you like it more.
I must also say that SS has the least memorable OST. So there's that...
I'm not really going into much detail right now though, as it is late, and I need to sleep, like, NOW.
So this'll be all from me for tonight, see ya!

Bulbapedia says that Dawn is 10.... but that miniskirt says otherwise, she looks 5 years older, like the BW/BW2/XY protags look near 18 years old

If we don't know their age, we can pretend it's whatever we want

And red is supposed to be around 16 by the time of Black/White 2 but he doesn't look like he's aged a day.

I really don't care about the age of fictional characters or how old they possibly look. When it comes to them, I follow a simple rule.

If it's cute, hot, pretty, beautiful, sexy, or attractive in any possible way in the eye of the beholder, BANG IT.

And that's how Rule 34 was made, ladies and gentlemen. ¦D

I always pick the dude characters, probably since I'm a guy too. But I also think their designs are usually better.

Also i agree with @R0Y Lucina sucks and isnt good at all, not sure why shes such waifu material, frankly most FE:A females were pretty forgettable except for panne, tharja, sully, aversa, tiki, and naga
Don't worry Olivia. I still hold you in high regards.

...

Anyways.

I never though an alt costum for a character would ever make me enjoy a character so much more. But goddamn Project M 3.5 has done it with OoT Ganon and Black Knight armored Ike. Why is Melee Sheik skin so ugly though.

Ike's isn't the Black Knight. It's Hector.

ouch, just for l and r returning...I might just pass.

I'll tell you why: you have to have a precise combination to have a setup. It just depends on too much factors which is which is in front, which is in back (both are separate as some are only affecting the one in the front by using the one in the back...oh god). Then, which mode as which.

I end up pressing L and R, switch, L , R, R, L, switch...you get the idea there's so much combination at the end that you do just that atone point.

Even L + R didn't helped much...I think I should rexplain it by being way too simple to confound 2 combination.

For example, in TTYD, if you want to ultra hammer, you would press b and spin the stick. for ultra jump, you spin after A. For roll, after R. The first button is a one time hold andis distinctive to the other 2 button for all 3 manoeuvers thus, makes it really hard to confuse them.

In superstar saga however, you just press L and R and sometime switch over and over to get a matching stuff, you press b OR a depending on which one you want to use and you then use it...there;s like what 2 jumps front, 2 jump back, 2 hammers front, 2 hammers back, 2 powers front and finally, 2 powers back...this is a total of 14 different manouvers all by pressing l and r, I hope I'm not the only one that got very confusedabout which button to press.

So, for me it's simple, if the same thing is in other series, I'm not even trying. I really hated this so much, I'm not even giving any chances to the same thing. The game could be fantastic, and I still won't like it because this is a party pooper. It's like me sucking at 2d mario platformer (except spm because it was made to suit the rpg), Iunderstand how smw is greatly designed, but I die so much that I can't appreciate it.

Here, I get so much annoyed that it takes over and I can't appreciate the game any more.

So, if it returns, it's a big NO. I'm really serious, I never want to try this again ever or if I want to go insane that it...

I know the blue armor is and that the general design of all the colors of the armor is suppose to be off of Hector. But I still get Black Knight vibe from the black armor color and Zelgius vibe from the red color armor anyways.

For Pokemon protagonists ages, here are my assumptions:
Kanto-Johto-Hoenn-Sinnoh: 10-13 years old.
Unova: 14-16
Kalos: 16-18

Reason for Ash never aging is due to his soul being removed and then reinserted by a haunter and then getting petrified then revived.
Supernatural powers did it!

This is my new canon about Ash' Immortality
Probably Pikachu is immortal too, he got petrified by Yveltal and then revived by Xerneas thus giving him new life.

X and Y pretty much confirms that if you get revived you also become immortal/ become immortal from dealing with that power. So its actually pretty solid to think on.

Well even the small cute ones can be extremely dangerous.
Litwick is the perfect example...
