Gyarados, for example used to have to have hydro pump as a move

Because it was the only water move that dealt enough damage with it's stab to mean anything for him. Since it's special based and he's physical

But AFTER the special split he can just use waterfall or something, since it's a physical based water attack

Gyarados can learn Aqua Tail. It can still learn Hydro Pump.

I am genuinely curious. This is the only thing in the universe that my magic as a witch cannot tell me.

Pokémon is just hard to play. Complicated as heck. I've went as far as playing most of the main series games and still manage to suck at it.

I've been interested in the tech side of things for a while now. Video games, ehh, not so much as of lately, but I'm trying. I'm definitely into Smash though.
Absolutely no TV shows or movies manage to get my attention, save for a few (very few).
I generally do not listen to what is known as "real" music. It's mostly VGM and some classics here and there.
And I'm not into sports.

Favorite Pokemon right now is Chandelure.

EDIT: Though to be fair, I get attached to most of my Pokemon because I name them all. Every single one of them.

I basically (yes) treat Pokémon as a competitive game. There is so much strategy and depth to what is considered something childish. It doesn't matter which meta you play, it's going to have depth.

I make my Pokémon as good as they can be, even if the IV process is dumb as hell with so much RNG involved. But as of now I haven't bothered doing that because of, well, that. Gen 7 make this easier please.
