Any Professor Layton fans here? Because the next main series game has been confirmed. The game is called "Lady Layton", and it will star Professor Layton's daughter, Catoleil Layton. Check out the trailer!

Not going to lie, but Catoleil looks adorable and cool!

It's also confirmed that Lady Layton will be released on the Nintendo 3DS and Android+iOS devices.

I like this. I worried they were going to make Hershel the star again in another game despite his story being finished. I'm glad they chose this path, although I wonder if we're going to see her parents, brother and adoptive sister too. And Luke and the others of course.
But I'm happy the series continues to live on, even after Akira Tago's death. Please, Level-5, please give us language options now. I didn't like the Dutch dub of the first arc.
Edit: And I'm thrilled it's not a mobile-only game.

Have you heard the Eurogamer rumor? Based on the rumors I made this concept for the controller, my concept have a full touchable screen, and can be disarmed in four pieces, so with one controller you can have 4 different controllers. The controls on the side have physical buttons, a small screen and speakers (works like the Wii U Gamepad), you can play with four people, even when you are playing in the handheld mode. In the other hand the screen controllers use touch controls (like in the Nintendo concept from the patent). In my concept you can register various NX controllers to the same home console, also with this controller, if you have two, you can play up to eight people.

Pretty neat, right?

Looking at the features his children have that Layton doesn't have, their mother might be a purple-haired lady with blue eyes. But I agree with FalKoopa here, the mother probably won't be elaborated on much. And I wouldn't be surprised if Mystery Room weren't canon anyway.
Could be cool, though, if the crazy Alfendi shows up and works together with his sister.

I do read a bunch of comments who'd rather have seen Luke or Flora as the new protagonist. While Flora is an underdeveloped character, I still think this is the best as they can go any way they want with Lady Layton instead of keeping their personality and background in mind with Luke or Flora.
