That's a bit unnecessary to protest your dislike of the last DLC. You aren't obligated to buy Corrin but that doesn't mean that you should hold onto the feeling that "X" should have gotten in over him/her. What's done is done.

Why is Corrin's inclusion labeled "executive meddling" when the same logic could be applied to any other guest newcomer in the series that was squeezed into the roster? Sure, he's another FE character that not many were happy with his inclusion yet Sakurai utilized elements from his launch game that diversified him enough from the rest of the crop (forced corn joke).

Are you a TO in your area? Even then, you are not forced to play him nor main him upon release. I cannot fathom why there needs to be such a vehement dislike towards a fictional character.

It likely isn't. Sakurai is at the helm, and I seriously doubt that Intelligent Systems forced him to add Corrin.

It was probably Sakurai himself or a higher up at Nintendo. I don't believe IS can do much besides suggest him an idea.

I'm well aware. The too many FE characters complaint is legitimate yet differentiating the characters does at least ease their inclusion into the roster. It's much better to have dragon lord, hard-hitting lord, and a sword-Mage hybrid over 6 different shades of Marth.

That's fair, your original wording of how you felt "forced" threw me off. If you want to perform well with your mains, you will have to exploit and identify the weaknesses of each character that you may be faced with in a match.

This, however, I cannot agree with. IS is at fault just because Sakurai decided to include the new lead of their game in Smash? IS had little to do with the decision. Sakurai was responsible for including Corrin and molding him to fit Smash since he ultimately decides who gets in and who doesn't.

The fact that Corrin is in Smash prior to his game's release is just free "advertising". Boycotting Fates over Sakurai's decision is childish considering they weren't ultimately responsible. The game could have still sold with or without Corrin's inclusion.

Not necessarily, considering Sakurai is a Fire Emblem fan himself.

And really? By the time Roy, Ryu and Lucas were available I was already satisfied with the game. Are you still not satisfied despite having a 55+ roster? How much longer do you expect him to stick around with Smash 4, which would also prevent him from moving on to a new project?
