I have a hunch the newest 3DS will be the last version of the system. Afterwords, Nintendo will move onto something else. Probably something that synchronizes with the NX in someway.

It's had a great run though. One of my favorite handhelds for sure.

It's had a great run though. One of my favorite handhelds for sure.

Considering the New 3DS (the line as a whole) is what the DSi was to the DS, you're correct. If the portable equivalent to the NX comes out next year, then I'd go full-blown Super Saiyan mode, because by then, my last gaming hardware purchase would've been a New 3DS XL.

The 3DS is getting old anyway.
