Mario games tend to reuse lots of artwork, even ones that date from 10 years ago

That's not the point I was making. I don't think it's fake for not having Diddy Kong and Sonic, it's because it looked relatively easy to make in Photoshop, just like this Heavy Weapons Guy leak I found one time.

And even if it wasn't easy to make, the October release date sounds way too optimistic.
