Smash 4 demo to be playable at Best Buy (for reals this time). Which characters?

I'm thinking Mario, Link, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Fox and a few new characters

I leave out Kirby and Samus because Kirby's hats might not me ready and Samus may have some Final Smash reworkings they wanna keep under wraps.

It hasn't been confirmed if Best Buy will have a demo for Smash 4 (they'll tell us what games Best Buy will have after the Nintendo Direct).

But assuming it is getting a demo, characters it will include is whoever shows up and gets revealed at the E3 show. Me listing any characters would just fantasy for me.

I am pretty optimistic when it comes to a SSB4 demo. But chances are we may see an actual at TGS or one of the PAXs later this year.

It hasn't been confirmed anywhere that SSB4 will be playable. All official sources say that SSB4 will be limited to screens, or at best footage. The games you can expect at Best Buy will be Super Mario U and Mario Kart U, not SSB4. Be realistic, people.

It was two years before we got a playable demo of Brawl, and thus far SSB4 has had 14 months of development basically. How much that means I couldn't say, but I would bet its indicative that we will be waiting for a bit longer for a demo.

I worry because remember that they started development of the game after Kid Icarus Uprising was completed, which Nintendo currently would have a bit over a year to work on the game at this time, correct me if I wrong. My mind just thinks that they'll show a trailer first, work on the game a bit more, then allow demos to be played on a later time. Don't forget that Smash4 will be on 2 different systems, so that'd probably just mean more work on their shoulders.
On the bright side, they might put a demo of it on one of the 2 systems at the very least.

Then again, that's just my mind rambling when I worry bout something.

We believe we'll get playable demos for those games because Nintendo says they have planned so. They have not said any such thing about Super Smash Bros. 4. And given the track record of the series, it's not happening.

I disagree. I think you're making too much out of the statement.

It makes complete sense in the context of it all. So far we've only received "news" (that is statements) on the game, but now we'll get to see what it actually looks like. Actually a year and 5 months since the trailer reveal to get the first playable demo in the United States, and publicly at E For All. The difference being that the staff size is much larger and experienced and has a solid amount of development time into the game. I don't think a small demo is too far fetched, hell the Japanese demo had about 4-5 characters, i'm sure thats not too demanding to make for a demo that could potentially make Nintendo's systems sells skyrocket.

Look on the bright side; we might get other Wii U games earlier. I got my Wii in the summer of 2007, so when I got Galaxy to 100% twice for the last three months before Brawl, it was a match made in heaven.
