"Sit Back and Chillax" - A Falco Combo Video

Hey all. I released my new combo video. Better late than ever.

By the way.. the beginning is an intro.. like in dbr vids.. so dont wrry.. the whole vid isnt like that.

Eh, my falco is better than this, and I play him once every month of hes lucky...

Don't try to make combo videos with spacies unless you can combo VERY WELL considering how the shiz whiz and forward are.

I liked it. Ummm if the vid is called "Sit back and Chillax" then maybe get some chill music? The funky techno isn't really complimenting it. Your tech skill is good but your combos are that sweet. Usually in combo vids they are flawless meaning you didn't miss at any time and hit them with every move intended. There were a lot of shine > bairs/dairs that you missed and just ruined the vid. Otherwise though, you have great potential for awesome combos.

as for the person you posted first in here.. meh. if you think you're better then think that. If you've got good proof of that, then let me see ur gameplay with falco. I've had this game for 6 months. I'd say im pretty good considering that.

If you're editing your own video then stop showing the parts where you get hit, unless it's some amazing CC or bait. Otherwise good techskill?

I watched the first minute of it. Watched the whole thing.

Doesn't seem like you're comfortable enough with your techskill so you can get your character to do what you want it to do. I see many missed L-cancels, choppy waveshines, lack of followup on good combo opportunities, and so on.

Stop using double jumped dairs as a combo starter. Or spamming it that much in general.

Your Falco needs a lot of work. My Falco was at this point 1 1/2 years ago, and I haven't made a single combo video yet, to this day.

Probably should hold off on any more combo vids until you get decently good.

I disagree. I think anyone should be able to make a combo video if they want to. For 6 months, I'd say he plays great, and really, who cares about missed L-cancels, choppy this n' that, and all that jazz.

What are combos about? Owning your opponent, and he no doubt showed us him clips of him messing up opponents around his skill level. I enjoyed the video, and learned some from it too.

Superb gameplay from someone who's only owned the game for 6 months. Keep playing, and make sure you perfect every SHFFL and learn when to do what moves. That's about it. >_>

He's not bad. But people need to stop telling him he's good too, because he isn't. Falco is just Shine -> Dair/Bair. His combos change up almost infinitely and should almost always be lethal from one shine. You need to keep opponents where you can tech chase and not be so predictable.

For six months its not bad. Now it's time to actually learn relevant things about your character.

just judging on the comments i was expecting a really bad combo vid, but it wasnt as bad as i thought it was gonna be. basically everyone here said what you have to improve on (tech skill). Also I would say play better people. Most of the people your playing didnt seem good and usually one of the best ways to get better is to play people better than you, not worse.

this thread is for my improvement. so if u say im not a good falco, back it up so i can at least improve on what u think i did bad in.

What I said wasn't stupid, there are a LOT of noobish players about the boards now for some reason that would call you good just because they don't know what good is, the people that have actually been around here nd know what they are talking about practically agreed with me.

Bailey is a good player, so trying to snap back at him for him putting his opinion in, WHICH you basicly asked for by making this thread, is stupid.

Feedback should be advice not just a plain opinion. Just try and think what good that does for me. I dont mind that he didnt like my falco. I want to know why, so i can improve. I see that at least u've come up and said that i've got to get my l-cancels down and i thank you for that.

Dont care if its negative or positive, feedbacks gotta help me.

You aren't getting it.

You're not a "bad" player as far as your learning curve is going from what I seen, you're coming along but you've got a very long road ahead of you to be maknig combo videos. but COMBO VIDEOS DO NOT SHOW SKILL. They are purely for entertainment. Get some real matches up and ask for critques if you're looking for advice, but asking for advice from a combo video is stupid.

I have to admit you are right when u say that a combo video doesnt show skill. Just entertainment. So that means you cant really judge someone from a combo video right? then ur first comment contradicts what you just said.

But i do admit that ur right, and i should show some matchups.. thats why i have another thread in here, which currently nobody has replied, and it shows me playing against a doc. That's where i want advice then. I guess this thread's mostly for if you liked it or not. And i already know you didnt.

Lots of attempts at Shine > aerial do not make an entertaining combo video. : \ Please show some more variety.

Also, your opponents appear to be unable to win against you unless you majorly screw up or something, seeing as how they typically play extremely basically compared to you. This would be fine if you actually combo'd the entire time, but you were giving them openings and they used them for things like Ganon's double-jumped side-B?

I agree with Blue, Ankoku, and Bailey.

Falco combo videos have to be perfect because so many of his combos are just dair->waveshine->dair->shine/up tilt/ whatever, so it has to be really good to make any impression on people.

Well, just get your techskill down and post some actual vids, then we can help you more.

Well, i don't wanna just keep spamming this thread with the same thing, but yea.. like everyone has said, your tech skill seems pretty good, i saw some mess ups, but it's w/e, everyone does...

idk, jus practice that ****, and i'm not sure if you've gone to any tournies, or if this is just friendlies, maybe hit up some tournies dude, that always helps can't get any better by fighting the same people all the time :$ but i got way better from acouple ppl that lived close by, plus when i made some friend's at tournies :D (YES I'M LOOKING AT YOU ROMAN, AND MATTDOTLAME :])

anyways, back on topic about your combo vid :D in the beginning i saw you keep doing shine--> uair, and i kinda wanted to kill myself, im not gonna say uair is a bad move, i actually like it, i use it against marths, but yea... shine-->bair/dair dude, like kneeofjustice said.

and well, the real reason i wanted to post this, was to thank you, i havn't touched melee really, maybe 3 or 4 times since brawl has come out. Yea, i guess you can say i'm one of the "brawl-haters" that this community has turned into, I was pretty much done with smash, and the whole community, until like, melee gets revived or something, idk man, but anyways, im rambling on again, let me get to the point... thank you for posting the video, for like, the 2 weeks that i've been smashless, watchin the video actually made me wanna play smash, i miss melee, i really do, and it sucks when i can't play it anymore, cause everyone is wrapping around ike, or wolf... lol.

good **** dude, keep it up, and remember, falco is sexier then fox, always :D (in both games)
