"ok i need to do itt.....NOW"

althought somtimes it is that way, MOST of the time i just use msucle memory, ok im this far away so nair jump now dair now, fastfall nair. i did that combo about 6 times today lol. its realy just knowing hwere you are relative to were they are and when do jump and dair and stuff. practising on sandbag acualy helps.

First thing to get used to is hitting with your dair in front of you. Once you do that without thinking about it, the spike will come fairly naturally. It's just not entirely consistent.

Edit: wait what? where did chic go?

cr4sh, chic retired from this tourney so he could get major practice done

and to wigi i dont really see realism in training on sandbag other than hitboxes, due to sandbag's weird physics (super floaty, doesn't slide at all, etc.)

and wow at 1st place

Yeah I do that but it is not too realistic movement wise since most enemies trying to recover will drop straight down (correct me if I'm wrong)

and 7-11est is 4-8 pst maybe 4-4:30 for me but that's usually when I do hw

BIG NEWS UPDATE (28-Oct-08): The SIMPLE Luigi Ladder will end in November 1st. Yeah, it's sad. But fret not, for there will be another, better Luigi Ditto Ladder beginning in mid November. It will feature point bonuses for playing Bo5 and will also label inactive members. It won't be so "SIMPLE" anymore. From the end of this Ladder on November 1st, to the time the next one starts, this thread can (and most certainly will) be used to look for some 1v1 friendlies.

On a side note, I'll be experimenting with another Ladder for the time being, on a different thread. Good Times.

To be honest, I'm not sure yet.

I want to do crew system, but I also want to do Non-Luigi CPU Team Battles (where each player has a non-Luigi CPU teammate). I'm trying to figure out how to do crews AND have some sort of teamwork and strategy. Like, discussing with your teammates who it would be best to challenge next or something. I've got 3 days to try to figure it out.

I imagine like 4 people on each crew... and each crew decides what person on the other crew will play next. Choosing a more difficult player could net more rewards and potentially eleminate him if he's beaten; but, if they choose someone weaker on your team it'd be harder to win.

Something like that. But the logistics are incredibly complex.

how about having a singles and doubles monthly champion. in doubles each person choses three chars that they can chose in battle and they are limited to those three only for the month. for strategy purposes you and your teamate can come up with the best teams within the 6 total chars chosen against their opponent, since they would be able to see who there opponents can pick from they could plan accordingly.

for singles it would be the same idea as this ladder but maybe also include the three chars choices.

the only problem is that luigi doesnt even have to be in the battles unless u make it that luigi must be one of the three chars u chose before the ladder begins. i know this is the luigi boards and all but really should we limit our options to make luigi in EVERY match. i guess you wouldnt be able to call it a luigi ladder then, but i like my idea.

then again it is just an idea im throwing out and u dont have to agree. hopefully u read something u will want to add in lol.

We can't do doubles because of two reasons: 1) The Lagness Monster. 2) It's rare to have 4 people looking to play at the same time. I would love to do doubles, but these two poblems are almost unsurmountable. At least a CPU Teammate could go around those troubles.

For the Crew Battle singles, I think it's a great idea to include up to 2 Non-Luigi Secondaries (and probably non-MK and non-DDD). It could add to the strategy somehow... I just have to figure out how.
