Hi, it's been a while since I've posted in Colony 6.

I love Xenoblade Chronicle's soundtrack. However, that music is trash compared to The Valedictory Elegy remix that I just unlocked. Now you're just another stage with NOT YOUR MUSIC playing.

I mean, theoretically, it's not THAT big of a spoiler since there will hopefully be a few weapons in Xenoblade X. At least it wasn't a huge plot spoiler or anything like that. That would've probably changed your gaming experience a bit.
I don't think it's that big (thankfully). By the looks of it, I think it's more of a shout-out to another game than something substantial to the storyline.

(It is a pretty cool track, though. That stage is a hard one to choose tracks for because everything's amazing.)

I have been tainted. Some douchebag put a picture of a spoiler-y Xenoblade X weapon up on Facebook and I saw it. Admittedly it was pretty cool, but I'd much rather have discovered it for myself. I was spoiler-free for so long... I TRIED SO HARD, AND GOT SO FAAAAR-

I pulled an all-nighter working over the weekend, and decided to listen to the XCX soundtrack which I've had since about the time it was released. I'd put off listening to it, because of 'spoilers' - I consider music really important to games. Since I was half-asleep at the time I don't remember much at all - which is great, because I can still go through the discovery of all the cool music in-game. I do remember it being amazing though. That worked out really well. I got to hear it all and get a good feel for the music without putting myself into a situation where I'll be playing the game and knowing which track was whname

Speaking of pouring all my time into (real life), not touched Smash in about two months now. RIP to all the progress I'd made with learning MALLC. I TRIED SO HARD, AND G-
I'm still clean on XCX. Haven't heard much at all and I'm trying so hard to not get spoiled on that game.
Anyway sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy with real life problems, homecoming is coming up, and on Wed im going to school as Goku for character day. I was going as Shulk at first, but I wasn't going to go as him without a Monado and the school doesn't allow swords at school. I know its a dumb rule. But now I'm more free to do other things. Also I've added two more amiibo to my collection. Sheik and Bowser are the new amiibos. I named sheik -ZeRo because reasons and I'm not clever. Bowser doesn't have a name yet. It's also nice to know that my villager amiibo goes for over 120 dollars and sales normally. Having the holy trinity is awesome tho.

Huh... I somehow don't get notified anymore.

Monado Master Monado Master , The monado doesn't have to be a sword tho. Can easily go through as... technic stuff.

@ rest, I am at a conflict. I breezed through the roster enough to finally decide on my playstyle and characters. I -really- enjoy shulk, and I think he's the character I can use the best... but I just am currently more drawn to Roy, since his speed compliments my agressive playstyle more. I just wish Shulk gets a framedata buff, and gets Top tier, so I can maintain Roy x Shulk...

How is the rest doing?

So I've been wondering for the longest time...why this bit plays in Mechanical Rhythm? I always felt like it was referencing something. Some meaning behind it...

Well, I don't know if there is some deep meaning behind it, but it might be solely because it offers sort of a refrain from all the distorted electric guitar and all of the other string stuff while maintaining some mechanical sound. You're right, it does sound a bit weird for a battle theme, but it's arguably my favorite part of the piece because of how different it is than the rest of the track. And it isn't the first Xenoblade song to have some "strange" sections.
Hint hint, space battle theme.

I really like that part in Mechanical Rhythm. It provides a bit a variety and quietness to any otherwise head-banging guitar shredfest. Reminds me of 90's alternative, actually (Toad the Wet Sprocket 4 lyfe).

To tell you the truth, I love the Xenoblade Chronicles Medley in Smash 4. I seriously do.

But mostly because of the Gaur Plains remix

Thanks, I'll definitely remember that. Took me a moment to figure out nair meant neutral air.
Everyone starts there. You'll get used to it.
Also, MALLC means Monado Art Landing Lag Cancel.
An advanced technique on shulk, that required an quite insane amount of skill, but removes basically landing lag, and gives you a short amount of invincibility frames.
A video is in the spoiler, buuut... it might be a bit too much from the get go, but I rather get it out now than later.
For general shulk information, there is always:
It's very basic, but it could contain a few things that you might now know yet.

If you have -any- questions, need sparring partner, or something else, be sure to ask right away~

Man.... that picture of a forest looking area at the bottom looks awesome. I pre-ordered the game a while back, and still can't wait!
I recently got a big book for Xenoblade that basically contains any Xenoblade-related thing you can think of. There's a list of every single material!!! If only I was proficient in kanji, then I could read it.... -_- But hey, the concept art is really cool. There's some adorable Riki art. :3

I wonder too, anyway, this song is among my most favorite soundtrack in Xenoblade Chronicles.

It's called "Xenoblade: The Secret File: Monado Archives", and it's distributed by Kadokawa. I got it on Amazon. Amazon is actually a pretty great place for any random Xenoblade stuff that you may or may not want. :)

Just dropping in to leave this little bit of info...

A friend of mine attended a convention yesterday where they had a Xenoblade Chronicles X demo set up. Apparently you got to do one quest but could explore all you wanted. The Nintendo representative told her that the XCX demo is eventually going to go up on the eShop.
This obviously isn't solid confirmation of anything because Nintendo reps have said things in the past that have been straight-up wrong, but hey, let's hope this one comes through!

I ordered this the other week, should be on its way. I recently learned that (if the internet is to be believed,) 1000 French copies of the book were distributed to the first 1000 French Club Nintendo users to register the game. Wish they'd translate to English, but I think that ship has sailed.

Actually, it's 32 days (almost midnight, so 31 days)! ;)

Edit: Curses! The website I was using lied to me!

I can't wait to get XCX...I've been pretty disappointed in general with the Wii U and the only two retail games I've got are Smash and Bayonetta 2 lol. So XCX will be my first retail Wii U game in almost a year

Also was anyone else watching Bob Ross on twitch? I've never ever been into painting and yet I watched it for more than an hour. Dude is hypnotic

Let's make this as simple as possible.

1. Do you want the game?
2. Do you want the artbook?
3. Do you want the USB stick?
4. Do you think the price is reasonable?

If you answered all with "Yeses", then GET IT! :)

1. Yes, but not so much as to play it right away as I'm pretty backlogged.
2. I'm not crazy about it. Maybe I'll change my mind...
3. Heck yes.
4. I think it is for those who want everything. I guess I could sell the artbook.

So you guys want to hear a rant? I was playing a Marth player, and I knew I could him, but I just kept losing. And they weren't close games, either. Like, I got two-stocked constantly. It didn't make sense. Shulk wins this matchup I'm pretty sure. The problem was that he would not approach at at. Like, I literally just stood still at the opposite end of the stage for fifteen seconds and he still didn't even think about approaching. Every time I would try to approach safely, I would get tipper forward smashed off an outrageously lucky read. One match this happened three times in a row, and each time I approached differently. I don't usually get salty from Smash Bros, but this really set me off. I decided to stay Shulk to practice for the crew battle, but after a long while, I was like "screw it" and went Roy. I won. Two-stocked him, in fact. This was the worst part, because Roy doesn't even win that matchup, and I hadn't played him at all today. I was a Shulk main who was winning more with Roy. Granted, the shift in characters probably threw the Marth player off. But still, I could tell I was playing noticeably better with The Boy. The moral of the story is, if you're going to pick a secondary, pick one that is easy to play. Playing Shulk on a really off day pretty much spells certain doom, as he requires high technical ability and immaculate spacing. Like, srs. If your spacing is off, rest in pasta.

I can agree with this. Even though Marth is a semi-technical character, on a bad day I feel like I do better with Marth than Shulk. The weird thing is that most of the characters that I play are at least semi-technical.

Definitely agree. Shulk requires a certain mindset to play.

It's a shame we can't use Miis on For Glory.
