So I've been playing Xenoblade 3D...
Now I bought Xenoblade back in 2011 and have known since that playthrough that Fiora dies. I've played through the scenes a few times when I've started files (probably about 3-4 times total) so I know pretty well how everything plays out.

The other night I was coming up to this section, I'd had enough of "playing around with normal Fiora" so decided to progress to the Mechon attack. I had my headphones in to block out whatever was on my TV and whatever my family members were talking about, and I got really drawn into what was going down. I'd somehow managed to put myself into the mindset of the characters, not knowing what's going to happen. So when I pushed through to the Residential District and Shulk saw the Vision of Fiora being killed... I got serious shivers. I almost started crying and spent the whole scenes on the verge of tears. Damn it, no work of fiction has ever had this kind of effect on me. I surprised myself at how much I felt the impact. The feels got to me hard.
Now I remember why this is my favourite game. It's so easy to get invested in. Best game 5eva

I kind of hope Xenonlade still stays relatively niche while still succeeding.
Though really, there shouldn't be too many people coming into the fanbase considering Xenoblade 3D is exclusive to the New 3DS.
I'm hoping Xenoblade 3D sells around 1 million units whilst Xenonlade X sells 2 million. Those would be some good numbers I think.

This is a big reason why I'm scared as hell to replay Xeno outside of my NG+ file. It's one of those "I wish I forgot everything so I could play it again"
Shulk screaming FIORRRRA chasing after her after seeing the vision of her falling before the beach scene was my spine shivering/tears moment.

That's because the blue animals ate it first (Falco and Sonic).

Edit: Except Greninja, because he's of a Quiet nature and hates sweets.

Nuuuuu... no more Melia advertisement on the thread title, this suuuuuckks. :C
Yay, Isaac advertising is still in the thread title!

Melia doesn't even need advertising to be honest, all of us know about her already, the Xenoblade celebrity she is :p

I'm sad that Reyn didn't make it as an assist trophy... He would have been amazing, and would have freed up a taunt for Shulk as well.
But alas, Japanese Reyn just doesn't have the time.... He doesn't make anything as right as Reyn....
If only NoE or NoA could put in their choices for assist trophies....

If it makes you feel better, I did use that quote for my Shulk brawl mod :p
Great job on that!
A friend of mine has decided to watch Chuggaa's Xenoblade playthrough. He's hooked and wants Xeno3D.
That is so great to see.
Emile really is an amazing person, and he brings such attention to many amazing games. Chuggaa is the reason I have played Mother 3, Mario Sunshine, and the Pikmin series. I am glad he is making people interested in the game, and giving these games more publicity. I just hope Nintendo hasn't hit him hard with content ID... But, I don't think he has since he adds his own content to all of his LP's, which are usually his 100% tags and such. I know PBG hasn't been hit with content ID for a very similar reason, albeit for comedic effect instead of informative.

Chugga really does bring attention to great un noticed games. I love Mario Sunshine and its great to see the attention it deserves. I remember watching his stuff back in 2010. Oh how time flys. And yeah PBG is more for the comedy than information.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

tbh though that is a really good scene, super well made and the emotion in the character's voices is so believable.

This would be so good. Reyn imo doesn't work as a character, but he would work really well as an Assist Trophy

imagine him just going up to someone and then "SWORD DRIVE"

dies at 50%

I definitely agree with this, he's the reason I picked up Okami, Okamiden, and Xenoblade. I love his passion for everything he does.

Oh yeah, speaking of sales for Xenoblade....
Japan has supposedly sold 56,000 physical copies of the game. This isn't bad.... I am guessing Japan probably has had 5,000-10,000 digital units sold. No world on Europe yet however. If I had to guess, they have probably sold the same amount as Japan. While I predict the US versions will sell around 100,000 in it's first week(due to the normal projection of Europe and Japan sales versus North America's sales.
200,000 copies of the game really isn't bad, especially considering it is rushed port that was probably inexpensive to develop for(I think it has had a years development time at the most).

Nintendo, you're a generation behind in hardware, but you've been keeping up with the memes lately.

Have you not paid attention to their Smash Bros Facebook page? That thing is golden.
I have, and it is indeed golden.

Edit: It was only a matter of time before Nintendo of America posted the live performances of Xenoblade's music on their official channel. In case you need a refresher, here is Gaur Plain.

Oh hey.
The Xenoblade X website updated.
http://xenobladex.jp/sp/index.html
Looks like the continuation of the short stories, 2 new battle trailers, one showing off a full battle and Soul Voice options(and sporting a new Cross), and another one with sexy female Cross fighting some monsters alone for a reason of some sort....
I'm on my iPhone so I can't translate the pages easily, haha. So sorry Ganondorf cannot be any more clear.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, and Dolls. You cannot forgot about dolls.

Yup..... Definitely beats FFXV cars.... By a long run....
It definitely seems like there are 6 different types of dolls with different classes assigned to them.

Also, I call dibs on this for my signature!

Bahahaha!

Final Fantasy XV..... the more I look at the footage... seems interesting. It's definitely open world, with some incredibly unique quest structures. Game looks AMAZING. Gameplay looks alright. I'm kinda pessimistic as to how they'll implement JRPG mechanics into the gameplay. The overall design is what bothers me the most. They name the demo, "Episode Duscae"? What in the world is a duscae!? Also, why do the main characters look like Backstreet Boys rejects?

Anyway, the game is looking great. Still more hyped for Xenoblade X

The demo wasn't bad. . . Much better than anything else Final Fantasy in about 7 or so years, anyways. Ha. But really, I don't believe it was great or anything, but it was decent. The game is visually stunning, that much is apparent right away (in terms of polygon count and whatever). Combat didn't seem very innovative when I only had to hold attack to do combo's and whatever (though you could do other things), but I suppose it wasn't "bad". The available music was pleasant, and the summons seem like they'll be awesome! Nothing I say is concrete, because it is just a demo after all, but impression-wise as of right now, I do feel like this will at least be a respectable title for the FF series.

Edit: Finally bought a Sheik Amiibo today. ;w;

Edit # 2: Xenoblade Chronicles 3D tomorrow!

I mean... It certainly looks interesting, but idk. I just think it has tons of problems. While the gameplay looks cool and stuff... It seems like it's going to get very repetitive in a bad way. The characters just do not click, and they seem very cliche. The graphics look great technically, yet the design of everything kind of holds it back. Xenoblade X smokes that clear out of the water despite its technical limitations. The demo also had some issues with having a smooth framerate as well. While FFXV does hold some interest for me, I am probably not going to get it. If it came out for PC, I would definitely get it, but I really don't feel like dropping $460 on a system and the game for a chance that it may not be good. Really, there isn't anything else on PS4 that interests me right now.
Though overall, Xenoblade X definitely seems superior in almost every way.

I'll wait for the reviews. Those were only my first impressions on the game. The character design though.... Ugh

The gameplay actually has good depth, and isn't just about button mashing. Parrying is stupidely broken though.

Same here in regards to the reviews. As for the character designs, I don't mind them on their own, but they clash with everything else in the game.

EDIT: The term "Duscae" sounds like an insult.

I watched the XC3D live stream with the Monado and the Bionis/Mechonis concept models and such. The whole thing was in Japanese so I didn't catch much of the interview portions, but I'm certain I heard the words "Reyn time". Which doesn't make sense to me because I didn't think Reyn Time was a phrase in the Japanese version. Maybe Nintendo picked up on it? I dunno.

I'm seriously debating getting a N3DS and Xenoblade. Someone help me make the rational decision

I can help with this

If you really want Xenoblade in your pocket/s, go ahead and buy it, BUT (imo) I think it's better to buy the New 3DS once we're sure that there are games being developed for it. So far, we only know Xenoblade is coming but we need more details if there are more games coming to the New 3DS. You might risk buying a console that won't be actively supported by Nintendo on the long run (especially since they're busy with another new console).

Just my 0.1 cents
