I started listening to the podcast a couple weeks ago, and my main gripe is that they're starting to get kind of long. lol It's taken me forever, but I'm almost caught up.. and now I see that this new one is almost 4 hours. >.< Don't get me wrong - I'll probably end up listening to it, but do you guys think you could start putting them out in more manageable chunks? I'd say an hour - hour 1/2 would be best for this type of podcast.
Well this podcast is way different then others. From what I hear it has 3 roundtables. So just act like it's just 3 more podcasts you need to catch up on ^.^

Nice podcast guys,

My view on the DK and Diddy SSE thing is this

Bowser comes up and wants to fight, you then get a choice between choosing Diddy or Dk to fight. While the other one runs away/ blown away. The two fight and the one you picked is trophyized.

First sitting: 50 minutes
Second sitting: 2 hours and 50 minutes
Third sitting: 27 seconds
Fourth sitting: 2 seconds
Fifth sitting: 1 minute and 9 seconds
Sixth sitting: p seconds

It took quite a lot of sittings, but nice podcast. Being a casual smasher, I really enjoy listening to the reasoning behind a lot of the competitive stuff.

Panda - nice job, man. I know how hard it is to get people online at the same time, and how early you have to stay up to do these kind of things. I've been up to 5am once talking to someone on the West Coast. Kudos man, you've done SMYN proud.

Buzz - nice to hear from yourself and SugarPoultry again. I felt that you really did bring stuff to the table, more than last week. Wow, was it only last week? Or the week before? Oh, week before. But yeah, I was expecting Gimpy to co-host. But I guess I was wrong :) So, what's next for the Buzzsaw? Haha, I lol'd at the audio thing.

Colbusman - Nice job on your return. I could definately sense the change in your mood and 'zanyness' compared to the first time round. I kinda got annoyed at one point where you were talking over Buzz and SP, but all in all, I enjoyed your input.

Pyro - I know you've been itching to get onto the Roundtable - and you deserve it with the dictionary work. The mic was a bit iffy, but that was pretty much how everyone else's was. Nice job man, it would have been extreme irony if you made a word up by accident, and had to add it to the dictionary. Lol.

Mic - great stuff, man. I really enjoyed the chemistry between you 3, especially. It was the highlight of the show for me.

M3D and Scav - I liked this section, and Kudos to you too. Not only did it give an informative insight on the competitive side of SSB, but also a bit of SWF :)

All in all, a nice pre-Xmas warmup.

9.2/10 (the length got to me, haha)

SamuraiPanda, nice podcast, very well done even if your editing skills aren't quite up to par with Youko's.

There is one thing I've noticed that you consistently point out, and that is the lack of special move updates for characters. I've been watching the dojo pretty much since the beginning, and there is one thing I have noticed over the entire time they've done these special move updates.

See, they never show any special moves for a character if those special moves don't have some fairly interesting, or should I say at least vastly different, properties to them that differ them from Melee.

Example: Most every newcomer has had a special attack update (though most haven't had all of their moves revealed, whether to stretch out updates or just keep an element of surprise for when the game launches I can't tell). However, most veterans haven't had a single special move update. Why? Because we already KNOW their specials.

The only veterans who've received special move updates are those who either have a new special, ie Mario's FLUDD, or have had them cosmetically changed or updated to such a degree that it breathes a new breath of life into them, ie the Twilight Princess theme for all of Link's specials and Kirby's hats that reflect upon the new characters' abilities.

You mention at the end of your podcast that you'd expect Zelda's specials to be revealed soon. Well, there are only two instances where I can see that happening:

1) Sheik is indeed still in and they reveal this special to explain how to get to playing as Sheik.

2) Sheik has been removed and Zelda's B attacks have been altered.

Just a little second party insight for you to take in and consider. Looking forward to next week's podcast, hope Youko's enjoying his rest period. Until later.

Yeah, I know that. I read the update unlike some people, but kentalicious said more than six colors confirmed, which confused me, but enough of spammage.

I listened to it in entirety last night, then in entirety again today as it lasted me a whole car ride to the airport and flight from New York to Atlanta. Go me!

Also, I just got a mic and have a possibly good BV topic. Has anyone done one on the future of Brawl on the internet (not online gameplay, but the evolution of an official site)? I was thinking about discussing some of the other big game websites (alla Bungie.net) and why they are so good and what Brawl can do to become a truly epic immersive game outside of the counsel like Halo 3 has proved to be.

Best podcast so far, looking foward to more efforts like this in the future, though it shouldn't be expected every week, Panda needs to go to class!

hey in the podcast(ep.25) they talked about a thread detailing the exact reasons certain items and stages were banned in melee. Does anyone have a link to that thread?

[ADVERTISEMENT] I wonder what Pyroloserkid's new project is...

I hope it's porn. You know, it showing Youko and Silver777 kissing or something? You know you'd want something like that. Maybe it'll be something with Buzz and SugarPoultry. It'll just show SamuraiPanda in the background looking all sad and bored. Poor Samurai...

Or maybe he SCRIPTED EVERY EPISODE. How badass would that be? Every episode since number one, word for word. Well, he said he's gonna do that.He said that he started on Episode 25 this morning, and it should be ready by Friday. One, Two, and Three are finished though. WHAT, EPISODE TWO? YES, THAT'S WHERE SARIKU MADE HIS/HER/IT'S APPEARANCE! You know you want to read my words. I know it.

MAYBEEE...... he made an SMYN Website. It would look like www.freewebs.com/smyn. WHAT?! THERE ALREADY IS ONE!?!?! Oh yeah, that lazy bum needs to update the site. IT'S TEN EPISODES OLD! He should be sued. Or She. It maybe?

Anyways, this is all speculation. It's probably porn though. Pyroloserkid DOES love porn. It's really, really, really, REALLY hot to him. But whatever, he's just a freak. xD. [/ADVERTISEMENT]

I wouldn't really describe kissing as porn. Unless they were nude and having sex while kissing.:urg:

I listened to the entire podcast ep. 25 all in one shot with the exception of 2 restroom breaks and what I like to call "the peanut butter cookies just came out of the oven" break. All and all the podcast was really great, all 3:44:17 of it. Thanks SamuraiPanda and Buzz for doing the podcast this weekend. The Dojo updates, SMYN, Smash Dash, and the Smash Boards are the only things keeping me sane during this long wait till SSBB.

Pyroloserkid's Review-ish...thing.

The intro was awesome SamuraiPanda, hilarious. The Megaman discussion was intriguing. I didn't know any of that stuff, so it was really insightful. If Megaman doesn't get in, I'm with Panda on the whole Viewtiful Joe thing. When Smasherized, he'd be great. I'm just afraid he'd be too Captain Falcon-y, but I guess he could work.

The roundtable with Colbusman has to be my favourite. There was a great connection between all three of you. And by connection, I mean internet connection. I could hear all three of you pretty well, and the conversation works alot better that way, which is why I probably liked it so much. I also enjoyed how Colbusman knew his Metroid stuff. He was able to back up his thoughts on why Orpheon is really awesome, and I agree. I also thought it was hilarious how Buzz and Colbusman ganged up on Panda when he mispronounced Orpheon. All in all, this part was amazing. Colbusman would make a GREAT co-host for the future if Buzz or Youko/Panda are unavailable. For a rating, which I don't usually do, I'd give it an 8/10.

Now, Roundtable part 2 just sucked. I know if you're reading this, you probably think that it's because most people are self-critical, but that's not it. Because of my terrible mic and connection problems (apparently), we weren't able to have a conversation, per se. What I mean is that we all had to wait for eachother to finish before talking, and we needed to be sure that they were finished. This caused alot of dead air and broke up conversation alot. Also, my mic is really crap so I sounded terrible =D. It was alot of fun, and SMYN and SmashDash were my major SWF goals before Brawl's Release. So thanks guys =] .

Now for Roundtable 3, with our favourite moderator from down under: Mic_128!
Enough with the Over 9000 lol. And yeh, you probably can't throw it up in the air to heal yourself. I liked how you guys mentioned alot of the possibilities with team items too. Good work. Tangents are always funny too.
"But why is it not there?" "Maybe they didn't want to reveal it yet?"
"But why is it not there?" "Maybe they didn't want to reveal it yet?"
Hilarious. All in all, this section was really funny, and I enjoyed the tangents more than any other part in the cast. The only downside is that I sometimes forgot Mic was there because he doesn't talk much. The slow-mo part was my favourite by far.
Also: Panda's name is Allen! Panda's name is Allen!

Now for the M3D and Scav part. First of all, M3D's "S"'s hurt my ears...and Scav kind of sounds younger than myself. So...I found this part hard to listen to and uninjoyable, but it contained really good information, so I'll go on. I loved how M3D and Scav gave a "pro" POV on Items and bans and such. It gave alot of light (IMO) to the casual players AND the competitive players that would like to see items return, or atleast have the Final Smash allowed. I was also really happy when you guys discussed Final Smashes. I'm all for Final Smashes in competition, and I'm constantly trying to convince my friends. This segment was REALLY great. The funny thing was that Panda didn't talk much, but that's ok because Scav and M3D were truly the stars of this segment.

This episode was really amazing. The only thing is, since it's named Pandacast Numero Uno, what are you going to name next weeks? Pandacast Numero Doce?

Anyways, good stuff. Like I said before SMYN and SmashDash were my goals before Brawl's release, so being a part of this really made me a happy guy =]. The only downside is that I was hoping I'd get to chat with Youko as well, but Buzz is a really fun guy too...so yeh.
Here's to Season 3!

edit: At the end when you were talking about how difficult it is Panda, you sounded alot like Angry Nintendo Nerd. =P
