1. When doing the jump to shinebair, do you use the control stick or X/Y?

2. What is the best way to practice shinebairing? Do you practice it with Falco first?

3. Does the opponent have to be shined and sent backwards in order to shinebair (and hit with both attacks)? I know there is shinair/fair/dair etc but I still need to get the basics.

4. Does the shinebair only work when you shine the opponent from below?

1. i use control stick because when you press down+b to shine, you can just go up and jump out of it fast
then my right hand will just have to use the c-stick to b-air. it works easier for me because i can't use my right hand to press B (for the shine) + X or Y (to jump) + A or C-stick to use b-air.

2. I guess it's easier to practice vs level 4-6 computers since they seem to DI more upwards + towards you. Lower levels seem to DI away or towards the middle of the stage. You have to count on your opponent DI'ing upwards from the shine so they go high enough for the b-air. People usually DI up from Fox's shine because it gives them more of a chance to recover. If they don't, then the b-air most likely will not hit.

3. They can be sent in front or behind you from the shine. It doesn't matter if you can react to it fast enough. You can turn around while in the shine > b-air in any direction.

4. I don't think it'll work very well unless they use some really strong smash DI upwards.

I left my wallet in
use the stick

just practice against lv.1 spacies at 60+ percent

sometimes when the opponent goes in front of you you can hit him with a very weak bair but yeah they need to go behind u

usually, if you hit from a low+away angle you can turnaround bair

the only way to DI away from shine bair 100% no matter what is: down and away
besides that, all their DI does is make it harder (faster)

for some reason i dont use the stick to Bair. I shine then press Y then slide my thumb to A + control stick.

I think it would be better if you practise with Falco then after move on with Fox.
