It is actually on the first airborne frame. You can't shine during jumpcrouch.

The timing is the same as multishining. Just practice. You should be able to slide from X to B with Falco fairly easily. If you don't let go of the trigger and press A on your way to B, you will end up grabbing.

[collapse=The cold hard truth]You should just use Y.[/collapse]

LOL

I just realized that I could totally use Y, since I claw to do multishines anyways and I can do them just fine

I just use the control stick for my shines OoS or my double shines. I'm an x-jumper as well (I main marth and find it's a lot easier to use x for his delicate double fair and fair spacing stuff), but using control stick for shines is just really easy and natural for me.

I experimented with both, but I found C-stick up to be harder for Shine OoS cause it's hard to tell the exact point when moving the C-stick up where you jump so it's hard to be consistent

Clawing Y works like 65% of the time for me now, except I have to mash the buttons pretty hard so I dunno how good it is for my controller

Falcos shine is stupid easy to do fast enough with X->B lol
and that actually does make sense Crimsonblur. No wonder he choose to implement that horrible, oh so unique version of multishining aka ballzpressure
