nooooooooooooooooooooooooobyou don't have to wait for your dash to end before you drop through a platform
noob
There you go.So is that the use for it? if you're running on a platform you shield so that it cuts off the need to wait for the dash animation and you can drop?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owwh2xsyKfYwtf, can someone post a link with an example of this?
lol thanks. I think i usualy do it most of time but just because of z-cancel and inmediately going up and down the platforms. I didnt even think this was useful for anything.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owwh2xsyKfY
i think in some of those drops i didn't shield but you can get the idea
after z-cancelling an attack onto a platform, I find it easier to immediately follow with a platform-dropped aerial if I just keep holding Z.
THERE WE GO.... I knew it felt better for some reason. Can't believe I never thought of that. I use it all the time, especially in platform combos, but once again I never looked more carefully to see how effective it was.By using a shield before dropping through a platform you don't need to wait for the character crouching animation to finish
hahaha, smash boards has yet to let me downfanboooooy ^

When z-canceling onto platforms, just keep holding Z as you land then drop through. Not the most natural thing in the world to pull off yet, but this should be quite useful.
Not for us that just spam Z. Now we have to learn to time it.When z-canceling onto platforms, just keep holding Z as you land then drop through.
Comes to be natural very quickly.
Play Melee for a week. Problem solved. Not for us that just spam Z. Now we have to learn to time it.![]()
