It's not negative to vent about things once every so often.
He could at least do it in private, so as to save everyone who's arguing the time they've wasted in this thread.

Either way, it's a fun little read.

I generally dislike anyone who hates things without trying them or at least taking the time to know something about it.

With that being said, D&D is ****ing awesome. I want to get a PbP game going on smashboards.

This so hard.

Godammit.

How does a 30 million dollar movie look so much better than a 300 million dollar one.
I dunno, unique story? Deep, emotional political messages, instead of that rehashed bs "we've found land lololol, let's kill the natives and take their stuff!"

I don't watch Anime ( except like one when I'm bored) and prefer manga usually. Most of the manga that I've read I have hated and had almost no originality. What didn't help was that I have a few friends that just kept pestering me about a manga/anime they liked but I hated. I'm only reading a handful right now and plan to keep it like that unless I find another Jewel. So for the most part I completely agree with you unless I misread something in your post.

Don't be intimidated by the fact that there's three rule books, and that they're all pretty dang thick. To put it bluntly, to learn the general rules the only one you will use is the Player's Handbook. And you're only going to use roughly 15% of what's in it.

:chuckle:

It doesn't help that everyone I know who's into Anime is a social outcast. I want to meet some cool weaboos and see what they're like.

I remember the first time I made a character.

Eventually my friends and I put house rules into place in which we cut like, 50% of the crap so that we would could just get on with the game. Sure we were playing a dumbed down version, but it was better than our previous rule in which you were given exactly thirty min to make your dude.

You probably have no idea what DnD is in the slightest, do you?

Seriously, people who hate on DnD and have never tried it make me just want to sit down and cry due to how gullible people can be. I mean hey, if Hollywood has made the game out to be a lame and weird version of Monopoply then it must be true, right?

#7: I agree with it.

#6: Clumping anime fans together is a bad idea. Your thinking of the classic anime fan not the smart ones who actually look into series well.

Like myself I like Naruto, but I admit the series is nothing special. I think Gurren Lagann is over hyped to hell but it's a **** good series and deserves to be called a great mecha/parody mecha series.

#5: Dnd is a game that is hard for some to get into. Depends on the edition as well since some of the earlier editions are hard as hell, your lucky to make it past lvl 1. There is a bunch of misleading expectations of the game but the game isn't for everyone.

#4: There are quite a few comic books that are written quite poorly. DC and Marvel have done multiple screw ups. Some are written very good, but some still retain poor writing even to this day.

#3: That game was one of the first RPG's taken to a 3-D and take a story to a new level. While I love FF9 more than FF7 it's still a good RPG, over hyped by the fanboys? Yes. A mediocre game? not quite.

#2: I agree whole heartedly.

#1: World of Warcraft, well I tried it and didn't like it. Also paying $15 dollars a month wasn't worth it to me, I'd rather enter a smash tournament once a month than do that.

Well yeah, those are the ones that annoy me.

I can understand not liking DnD, but at least know what the hell it actually is rather than just hating it based off of what you've seen on TV.

True, but the same can be said for anything. Watch:

Take it to 3D? And? Outside of 3D models and a fixed camera it didn't so anything special. And taking story to a new level... well, somebody here clearly never played FFVI.

I can understand not liking WoW, it isn't a game for everone.

Same. I want to just watch the stuff I hate it when people glorify any series, it gets old really fast when people do that.

It is stereotyped. Shame cause it is fun to play, even if I always end up as the cleric who has to heal everyone. L/

True, but after reading even post 2000 comic books, AKA read the recent Spiderman comics, some of them aren't what I'd call good writing.

It was one of the first to do it while making the game feel like your were playing a story/movie. Which is what Final Fantasy is all about, your playing a story/movie as a game and watching it play out.

I've played every main stream Final Fantasy game, except Final Fantasy 11, 4 had a great story line but 7 was one of the first to get main stream attention and pave the way for other RPG games to show how the story line made a difference.

I can understand not liking WoW, it isn't a game for everone.
I just don't like MMORPG's, sorry. Even with Guild Wars that I have I barely touch it unless I'm seriously bored.
