Seeking advice on Cel-Shading

The selection tool has been very useless to me, actually. Which is why i thought the post was rude.

I do everything with my pen tool so I can make clean cuts and if there's ever a mistake, it can easily be fixed easily. Especially when masks are involved.

As for shading/lighting. I tend to choose a color for each and use my pen/eraser tools.

I used to do it that way.

It's a learning experience. But I just like having to chose my shades and tints, and then changing the layer properties to gain different effects, and see what I like.

It's a lot of fun.

Also, SAI doesnt have burn/dodge...but it does have sweet watercolor/markery brushes. So i had to learn how to shade xD
