The Section 8 games are like Halo mixed with Tribes, Battlefield, and a touch of Metroid. Very low price point and very high value. I'm absolutely loving Prejudice on PC. Glad I bought it during the Steam sale.

Basically, you capture control points and do randomly-determined battle objectives to help get your team to victory. It requires a fair bit of coordination between players and encourages teamwork a la Battlefield: Bad Company 2. You can use points earned by doing objectives, killing players, and capturing control points to have any number of supplies airdropped in. Mechs, tanks, anti-air turrets, supply depots, etc. TimeGate managed to make spawn camping obsolete by literally dropping you in from orbit, which can lead to very awesome things, like landing on people to kill them. NOWHERE IS SAFE.

I love that game. I haven't played the second game, but I loved the first one to death. I popped almost all the achievements on Section 8.

I really enjoyed the multiplayer (had some great perks to it) and it was the best feeling in the world when you actually landed on someone and killed them lol! I think I only did it a few times in the multiplayer when I played it...

This game deserves more like and respect imo. I was one of the people who heard about it and was hyped up about the game way before release, but many don't even know what Section 8 is :/

Most people think it's welfare. :troll:

But yeah, I agree that it definitely needs more exposure. It's easily one of my favorite multiplayer experiences ever. I found the most overpowered weapon combo in Prejudice and I'm loving every second of it. They have a double XP weekend going on for it right now, too, so I keep unlocking stuff in short order. Went from level 17 to level 25 today. Cap is 100, for those who don't know.

Clearly, you haven't used the mechs... or killed people by dropping on them from orbit. Nah, it's whatever. I can see why it isn't to some peoples' tastes. It's more teamwork-oriented than the typical first-person shooter. Coordinating with your teammates on which control point to capture and directing people to do the objective is an absolute must. On top of that, the learning curve is a bit high. Treating it like your standard team deathmatch multiplayer is going to cost your team dearly.

Two days ago, I did a mech fatality on someone circling me with a hoverbike. I grabbed the guy, threw him into the ground full-force, then picked up the bike and crushed him with it. **** was awesome.

Today, I joined a server where my team was losing badly. Conquest matches end when a team reaches 1,000 points total, and we were 240-680. My friend and I took charge of the team, mobilized everyone, and managed to close the gap to 850-930. Eventually, we earned enough points to activate one of the dynamic objectives. An airstrike marker appeared, so I grabbed it and had my squad cover me in a mad dash to the enemy's control point. Planted the marker, bombed the control point, and won the match 1,013-993. Nothing quite as rewarding as that, let me tell you.

Yeah, I've got the first game for the 360, though sadly I probably can't play it now since my disc drive refuses to work. G941 HellHound

It's a real blast to play. First picked up the demo some long while back and loved it enough to get the full thing. Not many people play it any more, though it does still have bots to make up for it (so grateful for that). Plus, those people playing generally tend to be the experienced veterans who've stuck around so it's a nice challenge to try and complete the bonus objectives facing them. I love a fair fight. :)

Yeah, my introduction to the series was the demo on the PlayStation Network. I loved it. Despite my predisposition towards PC games, I bought it on the PS3 because it was $5 cheaper and came with all the DLC. Jumped on Prejudice with the Steam sale and don't regret a thing.
