Ummm, this is gonna take awile, and my friend might have just been lying for no reason about this character, but I'm sticking with it anyway.

I said that I'd give more clues about this character, so here goes:
This is one of SEGA's older characters, and I seriously doubt that this one's been sold to CAPCOM, but it is possible.

Why are they putting a Sega character that is now owned by Capcom in SSBM? Mega Man makes sense because he was originally for the NES, but why not have old school Blue Bomber? I don't see why they put Trigger in SSBM when they could have had the original. After-all Trigger is best known for two games on the PSX, and only one sorta copy game for the N64 with a horribly unoriginal name!

5. Space Harrier

Umm...that's it for now I guess... another hint would be helpful Big Rock. Still too vague of a hint.

My guess to this Sega character is...
Shinobi! I always thought the series was cool. I don't know if thats his name, but thats the game he hails from. If you don't know him, he is a ninja, cooler than Ryu from Ninja Gaiden in my opinion.

Um, Angel? How would they have Ecco?! What would he do, flop around? He's a dolphin! But it would be cool if Nintendo figured out a way to put him in.

Now, I'm trying to figure out a hint that won't completely give it away...Oh!! here we go:
This character will change to a different color when he gets a certain amount of a certain item.(he looks for these in every game) He will also be stronger with this item.

Also, I really don't think he's been sold to CAPCOM.

And Hyper Luigi? Who said Trigger was in it? I didn't, but I did mention him in an earlier post.

I don't see why there would be any Sega Characters in SSBM unless it were maybe Sonic. It makes not sense to me. At least Mega Man was in a ton games for Nintendo systems.

I don't think any Sega characters will be in the game. Sega is affilated with Nintendo as a third party developer, not second party like Rare or Hal. And so if Sonic, or any nonNintendo character are in the game Hal would have to buy the rights from Sega costing lots of money.

I personally think it is either Sonic or Knuckles. They both change into a different color once they have all Chaos Emeralds and a certain number of coins. Sonic turns yellow and Knuckles turns purple.

Moving on, Hyrulian... doesn't Sonic and Knuckles collect "rings", not coins?

The current hints of Big Rock are as follows:
1. older character.
2. stars in more than one game.
3. changes color due to collecting a certain amount of an item.

I'm guessing Sonic. It has to be him or at least someone from his world. The only other franchises on Genesis I know are James Pond, Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Vectorman, Chuck Rock, ToeJm & Earl, and Rocket Knight Adventures.

Sorry man, but Rocket was also on the SNES. I have the Nintendo with the game's stradegy in it, and I'm not sure if Chuck Rock was only on Sega Systems but it might have been. Occording to all the info I've heard it sounds like Sonic and BR's friend is crazy to think Capcom got the rights to Sonic.

I beleive Sonic Team and Amusement Vision, as of now, are committed only to Gamecube (I wish I could add AM2 on that list). Sonic Team needs no introduction, but Amusement Vision is the team that has produced much of Sega's sports lineup.

So it wouldn't be too unlikely for Sonic to show up on SSBM. However, I think I remember Big Rock saying something awhile back about it NOT being Sonic.

I was thinking about it, it can only be SONIC. If Sega were to choose any such character to symbolize their company, it would have to be Sonic. Any other character would just be insulting. Besides, he fits Big Rock's hints perfectly. So hurry up Big Rock, tell us already.

I think rock is talking about Sonic, but wouldn't he be a bit to fast for everybody else. Think about it, he is faster than the naked eye. Got that from the old sonic tv show. Also this might be a little off topic, but wouldn't it be a good idea if we continued this discussion on another topic. It already takes forever to read everybody's post so if rock made another topic with the same stuff on it. It wouldn't take as long for some of us with slow connections,me, to download all your posts.
