After being away from the board for a week, I have come back to find this funny thread. Whether or not Big Rock is telling the truth, it is still fun trying to guess the characters he talks about. I mean, it passes time while we wait till Aug-Sept to finally find out the final roster. Anyways, here's my guesses for the current hints:
1.) MEWTWO. Only real "strong" pokemon that would look "messed up" getting his arse kicked by Pikachu. Mew is the only character strong in comparision, but he's too cute to look "messed up".
2.) MEGAMAN. Only Capcom character that is "sorta" like Kirby. Meaning they both can steal powers somewhat. Weird for Megaman though, he has to defeat his enemies before he can take their powers, unlike Kirby.
Now time for some seriousness. These 8 characters that Big Rock has listed seem very very questionable and out of logic. At least when I hypothosized that Pit, Ganondorf, and Samurai Gorah was in it, at least there was some good logic to it. I really hope you're not sh*tting us Big Rock. I will take your word since you share the same name as my fav WWF superstar. But even though, the logic of the already revealed characters of yours seem iffy...
1. DK Jr.: We already have Donkey Kong. How much different can they make DK Jr? Diddy Kong would have made a better choice.
2. Luigi: I believe this one. Gotta love my green man!
3. Metal Mario: Just seems weird since Mario is already a character. He was also a mini-boss in the first game, so he is obviously stronger than normal characters. He can take MAJOR damage, so wouldn't him being a normal character be a lil' "cheap"?
4. Wario: I can believe this one. Just iffy on what his moves could possibly be. And the fact that Mario already carries the Wario colors. Same goes regarding Luigi.
5. Wigglytuff: I don't see why they would choose the evolved form of Jigglypuff. Jiggly was a lot cuter than Wiggly. Also the fact that Jiggly was in that cut scene in front of those other pokemon.
6. Capcom: This is hard to believe that Capcom would let Nintendo/HAL borrow one of their characters for Melee. I have "some" faith in this though, since Capcom/Nintendo did team up to do the 2-game Zelda series for Gameboy. In fact, Capcom was in charge of most of the project and kept the games true to the series.
I really hope you're telling us the truth Big Rock. You're gunna be pissing off a lot of peeps if you be lying.
That is all...
