Second

I'd like to hear what some competitive marth players use as their seconds.
Or what players use as their first if its not marth.
Just trying to get an idea of a good second to choose considering marths stage and enemy weaknesses.

I mainly use Marth, I have a lot of other characters I am technically efficient with, but if I lose while using Marth, chances are any other character I have won't be up to the challenge to take the enemy down.

(And I am quite good at D3, MK (yeah well, of course I can pick MK, and probably win but depends on the char the person is using), Fox, Falco, and I'm loving Diddy . OH GOD I ALSO USE TOON LINK )

Hmmm, well I have Toon Link, Ike, Falco, and Sheik for secondaries. Each one has something that Marth doesn't have, but I main Marth. Like toon Link has both a sword and projectiles, which gives him a bit of an advantage with either close or far range. Then, you got Falco which he has great laser options. then you got Ike with his long range with his sword and overwhelming power. Then you got Sheik.....ummmmm.....shes got needles. lol. She can combo her ftilts, dtilt, and utilts, which can then be followed up with dsmash, fsmash, usmash, nair, or fair.

Nice grab, nice range, projectile, B acts as counter and a fun fair to use too =)
And she feels way more laid back then using Marth all the time

You don't need to switch up and change your mindset a whole lot, but it's enough to be a good change to counter an opponent, for example, his fair has almost the same principles as Marths, but he also has a wide set of effects with his pikmin, which also serve as long range attacks. Also, he's the man. enough said.

Sorry I can't be considered competitive due to lack of tourney experiences, but I second Kirby, Wario and Samus. Which I find hilarious b/c they are not similar to Marth's gameplay in anyway imo, and I'm not even sure they can take down Marth's weaknesses.
