Welp, sorry for all these very long waits. I posted it before but I had a small accident. First for all, Madeleine sketch.
Secondly, time for the review of the previous jobs.
First off, all color sets will be added, also since there is no collision between any special costume, all of them will be added, thought no one has submitted one for Peppino. Feel free to submit a suit for him for the duration of the next job.
There is a slighty doubt about the overlapping between Celeste Mountain and SnowDin, but since there it wasn't be any sort of countersubmission and people doesn't seem to mind that much, they will also be added normally.

made a helpful example for it using the almighty Mothman as an example!

Premise Submission:
I'm slightly confused by the idea behind this job, but I might just be tired, here's my best shot.
Generally, honestly, I wanna avoid any multiverse/ultimate tournament vibes for this. And I wanna lean into the aesthetic of a Little Big Planet style "world of creativity" type thing. The world would be one created by the imagination of people, represented by scribbles, doodles, and other arts and crafts things. The characters all exist in this hodgepodge world, and some even already know eachother, giving off slight Project X Zone vibes.
This would give us a flexible world that doesn't have to play everything exactly as they were, and can give us sillier interpretations of more serious characters, allowing them to blend into the game without clashing.
I really do think taking inspiration from Little Big Planet would be a great move, I'd love the game to celebrate the idea of creativity and that anyone can dream up and make an Indie game, more than getting caught in celebrating "a bunch of cool games that all happen to be indie".
Apologies if I misinterpreted the job in some way
Premise:
The world of indie games is all doodles because of an artifact. But an original character steals the artifact, causing the world to become more realistic. All the indie characters must team up in order to return the artifact back to its proper place and defeat the OG character.
Since there where just 3 submissions, you will only vote for 1 of the 3 options. While they all sound sorta similar with the idea of all the characters existing in a world of their own, they have their own differences in practice so its better give an opportunity for each of them to see who is the winner option.Job #018: I reckon keeping things simple is a smart idea, so I'll take a little influence from Smash 64 for the story.
Basically, everything's always been in this hand-drawn style, and the world itself is made up of a mishmash of different indie games in this style, referred to as the Collage. Sometimes, the Collage is expanded, with new locations appearing - stuck to the world with tape and glue, and bringing forth plenty of new faces and faces.
Now, while there is supposedly an extraordinarily powerful trinket hidden somewhere in the world, nobody actually knows what or where it is, other than the fact that it's called the Mysterious Object... but everyone assumes it'll be useful to somehow help them with something, which will change depending on the character. Obviously, this leads to combat... or perhaps not? Who knows what'll happen!
Mechanically... I reckon it'd be fun to take a little inspiration from Shovel Knight and Super Mario Bros. 3.

Each location in Collage roughly corresponds to the game's stages, and you can travel to each "stage" to enter it - though, this won't have you engage in combat with different foes, but will instead work a little like settlements. A couple of characters will be in each "stage" (which uses the same model as the actual stage, but has new characters milling around, and isn't used for combat), and serve different functions - some can help give you buffs through a shop system, while others might give you sidequests for some kind of reward, that sort of thing.
Actually doing battle with foes comes about by making contact with another character on the world map, immediately initiating some kind of battle. This isn't always a traditional battle, though - depending on the enemy you're up against and when and where you are, they might challenge you to different minigames, or even battles with strange rules or modifiers. After defeating them, they'll go into hiding for a while, but they'll come back after a while. All of this is pretty much bookended with VN-styled interactions both before and after the match, which helps keep things simple but gives them character.
As you progress through the world, more of Collage is attached, introducing new foes to do battle with and locations to explore. Your goal's simple - cross the whole of Collage and recover the Mysterious Object!... before your rivals.
With this in mind, there's a lot of fun things you could go for with a really open-ended vibe. For instance, characters might be looking for the Mysterious Object for any number of reasons; Peppino might just want to support his business, but Shovel Knight might want to keep it out of the hands of ne'er-do-wells. Likewise, characters with Special Costumes that give them the appearance of different characters (ie, Curly Brace or Fish Head, just as examples) could appear as seperate characters on the world map with their own interactions, bolstering the world beyond just its base roster. Plus, you could always have "coins" won in combat work both with the story mode shops, but also with unlockables like bonus costumes, blind-bag pins, and other such things.
JOB #19
LET'S GET SOME TUNES!
Submit up to 3 songs from any of the indie games with a stage of their own (Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Pizza Tower, Undertale, Cave Story, Celeste, Vampire Survivor). It can be either one of each or 3 of the same game; don't think on arrangements, I'll leave that just to the imagination of each one, focus on just submitting the song you'll want; also notice that the idea is that while of course indie games are known for having some kick ass music, the objective is try to mantain the playlists rather small, so if a series reach more than 12 tracks, it would be required a votation to decide which songs should be left.LET'S GET SOME TUNES!
JOB #20
PIN IT UP!
Submit up to 2 pins! They are the collectable of this game, if you want to know what you'll need.
PIN IT UP!

Job #14; I honestly really like some of the submissions that've already been made! But... I may as well propose something a little "out-there." Namely... Pins! The idea behind these is that they'd be collectables that'd also work in a handful of other game modes, if you wanted - I'm mainly thinking a game mode akin to a mix between shuffleboard and curling would lend well to this. Let me explain.
Each Pin would feature a design based on a character, item, location, or some other element from a different indie game/series, and would have a name, number, and rarity associated with them - plus a short blurb explaining what the actual subject is. They'd also have stats for Weight and Spin, which would be applied to a couple of unique game modes (that I'll get to in a moment), as well as a unique special ability which can either be a passive or active.
I'll first propose a template example in a similar vein to Bolverkaiser's, deliberately going with an example that wouldn't apply in this thread.
Name: Mothman Series: Shin Megami Tensei Number: No. 000 Rarity: ★★☆ Weight: ★★☆ Spin: ★★★ Ability: Shibaboo (Passive)
When directly hit by a Pin with higher weight than itself, Mothman will automatically create a cloud around itself for one turn, which passively slows Pins that move through it. Blurb:A demon of the Wilder race, Mothman's fuzzy form belies a slightly troubling history of appearances as a West Virginia cryptid from the 1960s to the 1980s.
As for game modes, I'm thinking they'd mostly be tabletop interpretations of something a bit like a cross between shuffleboard, curling, and pool. Each player would be able to hold up to three pins at the start of battle, placing as many as they like on the board and then charging up a "flick" to move the pins across the board. The goal of the mode would be to knock your opponent's pins off the board while keeping your own on the board, though if at any point you have no pins left on the board, you'll need to put at least one remaining pin there - and the winner is the last person to still have pins, be they in play or in reserve.
This is where the Weight and Spin variables come into play; pins with higher Weight hit harder, and deal more knockback, but don't travel as far from flicks, and have a higher amount of friction slowing them down. Comparatively, pins with higher Spin have a more curved firing direction - but higher Spin usually gets offset by lower flick speed. Likewise, the special abilities that Pins have are split into Passive or Active; Passive abilities are usually either always active or are activated by certain scenarios, whereas Active abilities are activated manually with the A button, but usually have a cooldown of a couple of turns. Could also be fun for certain pins to have set-bonuses when paired together, be they from the same series, or having some kind of connection to each other.
While a "battle mode" would probably be the main appeal, you could still do some other variations on the mode too; something like curling, trying to get the closest pin to a given target, or a variation of table hockey, where you need to get your pins into your opponent's goal while using your pins to defend your own, could be a lot of fun to play around with. Obviously, I wouldn't want this to spiral too much out of control in terms of complexity, but there's a lot of potential with a mode like this (ie, if you wanted to take the King of Cards approach of a side story centred on this game mode, it'd lend well to that.)
EXTRA:
A LITTLE HELP?
It's not a secret that I'm quite inneficient for running a thread, even if I enjoy doing this sort of stuffs, I'm not the best in keeping up to specific days and things like that, so I want to ask if anyone of you would be willing to help me? How so it's very simple, if I get someone interesed I'm starting to put deadlines again, and this person can do the counting and announce the results if I hadn't did it first, trust me just having someone do that would help me a lot, so again it would be extremely helpful and will help in fast a bit more this thread.A LITTLE HELP?
