I'm by no means any good with Samus but it seemed like you had a really solid projectile game to say the least. You did really well with homing missiles and zairs, good stuff.

Nice bomb edgegaurding in the first match, and nice axe kick kill too. That no contest ending was such a buzz kill I cant believe that ROB took away the fun of seeing such a nasty spike.

I already left my comment in your video, Gum. You'll see what I liked. I didn't mention it, but I liked when you began to Missile cancel with the Super Missiles.

well i hope this one helps you out a bit as well. on a more general note though, practice teching so you don't get stage spiked like i did in the second round. stage spikes are getting way more important in brawl than they were in melee.

Yeah, I really need to get around to practicing it. I loved doing it all the time in ssb64, then when melee came out my playstyle became way too aggressive and I think I even stopped shielding. My friend even told me "You know you might actually win if you used your shield." I was like "shield? oh I forgot about that." Lol, but anyways any tips, I think I'm most likely trying to tech to early cause I still haven't gotten it down.

YES! YES! The bombs are amazing! I had started using them in some friendlies against a MK last Saturday but I didn't spam them that much, but man I really should have!

Gum, you've shown me a crucial part to Samus' game. I have to thank Hylian for showing me the glory of Zair, Dyna Dash for the on stage aerial game, Tudor for the off stage spike/gimping game, and now Gum for the bomb game against MK. (Not saying these people were the first to do any of this, it's just that I saw their videos before anyone else's and adopted their techniques)

...I like the bombing...but all it really is spamming.
We really need more bomb techs.

I did something called bomb locking...but it doesn't last long.
Bombs really should be our focus...

Hey on the topic of stage spiking, I don't know how many of you know this, but I haven't seen it too much, most likely cause its really situational and kind of predictable and probably hard to land, but I think I've stage spiked a ganon with fair on smashville. But it was on wifi so lag probably messed with timing to get back on the stage, but basically he hanging on the edge, I think he thought I didn't have my second jump because I was bomb jumping kind of low. So basically when I got in range I jumped and faired and the stupid camera zoomed in close so I couldn't make out what happened too well but I u-b'd to the ledge and he fell. I guess the ub might've had something to do with it but I think it would've pulled him up.

So I think this might also work by rar'ing off the ledge, but just running off the ledge and doing a bair is easier, better, and safer. So this might only be something to keep in mind if someone is edge guarding on the ledge. But actually people do usually that to Samus, which is why I think the guy thought I didn't have my second jump. Because to the guy's credit he was good, and I lost, but to my defense I suck.

So yeah does this seem like a viable tactic to try out? I've tried to do it again in matches with cpu's but haven't had any success, they don't hang around on the ledge that long.

why is everyone mad at me for quitting the match? I thought it was funny :(

sorry, Gum, if I took away any of your glory haha...besides, look at that face [when I pause]...soooo cute ^_^ lmfao, but yeah I thought it was good comedic timing :(
It's all right, toasty! I was actually surprised. At first, I thought Gum had paused the game so you'd get thrown off track. Then you left. My brother and I asked each other, "What was that about?"

Its all good toasty. Iv'e done the same thing before.

@Darkhart: Yeah, there is no doubt that it is mostly just bomb spamming, but we are dealing with a character that spams mach tornado like its the only move on his list. I think Samus is allowed to spam all the **** she wants against a gay character like meta knight. Also I did use the bomb cancel quite a bit within the bomb spam to make me faster If i chose to come out of the bomb for wutever reason. That is one of the best bomb techs there is at this point in the game.

Wow, that was really great. I liked how intuitive you were at counteracting ROB especially when he tossed out the Gyro.

Good fight.
