$1 Night was a huge success as we had 20 entrants and gained the interest of some new comers to be regulars for our 64 tournament. The rules of $1 night was for our top 10 in the power rankings to use a low tier character (DK, Samus, Ness, Link, Luigi) while everyone else could use whichever character they wanted. Everyone had a lot of fun and there were some big upsets (Razz over LD) and exciting sets (Luigi dittos). This will be a monthly event for us and look forward to more entrants in the future. A bunch of PA guys came down for it. Daniel pulled off a big upset of FraudSanchez the Merciful and LD is officially a chicken for not showing.

These happen the first Xanadu of each month (except June it will be second Xanadu) and the top 10 in the main rankings are required to use low tiers while the rest can use whatever. Entry for these tournaments are only $1 because of fun.

We had our second $1 low tier night and it was another success as we had our highest entrant total at 22 this week. A big upset to start off the bracket with MotherBrain beating DarkHorse giving the MAAFIA brothers a walk to WF. DarkHorse redeemed himelf by steamrolling losers bracket after a couple close early sets to Shears and SmashG0D to absolutely embarrass the Luigi main fraud and his brother in LF and GF. The tournament was a lot of fun and shoutouts to @ THE_MAAFIA and his brother for making the 3 hour trip to Xanadu.

We are currently talking to VGBC and the Xanadu staff about having a 64 monthly or bi-monthly tournament that will feature singles and doubles and be streamed full time by VGBootCamp. This will likely take place after SSC. A date will be set hopefully in the near future so people can make plans about coming. If we can have 30+ entrants then this can likely be a self sustaining independent event without the presence of melee or any other smash game which will be huge in the growth and exposure of this community as full time VGBC stream for 64 is something this community really needs.

After watching the video of me vs his Dk, I missed so many recovery options, sweet spots, up b's, drills, and up smashes for those back airs he threw out, I truly cracked. But that doesn't change the fact that Dark horse won, I give him props. This was literally the first time I almost won a tournament, and was my 2nd tournament overal, so you can imagine all the hype and rush I was feeling, especially vs Dk cause I was so close to grand finals I just screwed up. Doesn't change the fact that I'll 5 stock him next time
