This stage is based on the look and feel of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, which was played using the DK Bongos.

The key here is to keep climbing up and up.

The tropical setting is quite nice.

The screen slowly scrolls upwards, so if you don’t want to get left behind you’d better get climbing. Oh, and don’t forget to pummel your opponents along the way!

You’re climbing up, but the water keeps flowing
down, down, down.

The screen’s constantly changing, so it’s fun just to watch too.

The top of the waterfall isn’t the top! Keep climbing!

Hey! What’s at the top? Huh?

Hmm...I wonder...

Looks like another ice climbers stage. What do you guys think?

The Icicle Mountain of Brawl it seems. I didn't really care for that stage in Melee, so I wouldn't be surprised that if it were a vertical scrolling stage, it would be the same way.

Ladders are a new addition to the Smash Bros. series.
I wonder if you can fight while being on the ladder?

Are you kidding? It's from Donkey Kong! The symbol is right there too! I'm so happy!

From the sound of it, it will be more akin to Rainbow Cruise than Icicle Mountain, with having a definite end at the top.

Ugh, I hated this stage in Melee. I don't see myself playing it very often...

As much as I hate to admit it, another Battlefield/FD clone would have been better than this.

This looks like a vastly improved version of the Ice Climbers level, and it seems they removed the going down part. It also looks like to only goes up at a steady pace, based on the notes. And it looks like that at the top, the level shifts onto an airplane ala Mute City.

You guys can't be bashing this stage, they only improved every aspect of the ice climbers type stage. And also not just ladders. I think we can expect even more character to level interaction, don't forget the pic of the characters watching k.k. play in smashville.

Also the items that appear on the stage almost like wierd pokeballs melded too the lvls, they could be switches, and the little patches of water, may have effects like crazy, mabey slow a character for a moment. who knows, all i can say is that link's hookshot now pwns the lvl with places to grab

I'll take Stages Already Barred from Tournament Play for 1000$ Mr. Trebek.
Not for sure. Its always moving up at a constant rate until you get to the top and then you go onto an airplane or something? It looks highly controlled and not random like Infinite Glacier, so I think this could be a counter-pick.

What if each switch controlled the level's movement? Each level of the stage would be stationary until someone hit the switch, causing the water level to decrease further, causing everyone to have to climb up or die?

the stage looks beautiful---i think it'll be fine...probably a nice steady rate of ascension so we won;t have the same problems as with icicle mountian---i;m not sure bout those ladders tho...

Ok stage. If you haven't noticed, this stage is much wider than icicle mountain. Just another reason to not assume this stage will be as bad as i.m.

the stage looks nice i think. i too couldnt stand icicle mountain but this seems different and what not with the ladders. he said water will play a part also. it looks bigger then icicle mountain. as long as the stage doesnt move upward too fast I think it will be fun.

To me those switches look like little bouncy things that maybe shoot you upward, kinda like something you whould find in a pinball machine.

I have a feeling the developers learned a little from Infinite Glacier.

it looks like this level just scrolls up, as opposed to up, down, or not at all.

I'm hoping the scroll time is consistant, and it makes brief stops when te scenery changes.

And as a Jungle Beat lover and DK player, I'm thrilled!

The Ice Climbers stage drove my anger to dangerous levels sometimes, and I was not looking forward to one like it in Brawl, but I have to say, I'm impressed! I'm convinced that the developers learned something from the Ice Climber stage and made this stage less aggravating. The whole atmosphere of the stage is MUCH better than the Ice Climber stage, it's actually got life to it.

I've suprised myself. I can't wait to play on this stage! And I've always loved DK's stages, so here's to a wonderful update! :]
