Well...he did muck up one of the best possible crossovers in fighting game history, so I guess he deserves it.

I really think Peach's Toad could be aesthetically refreshed... all Sakurai's team has to do is recolor Peach's Toad into Toadsworth. It's minor... even the hackers could do it.
This was my exact roster not too long ago. But that was when I still had hope for Toad and had him where you have Bowser Jr. I also rounded it out to 49 with Isaac. It's a very satisfying lineup. But like TumblrFamous said, I also expect some crazy addition that most of us never saw coming in place of one of the chatacters you ( and I) have on there. Very nice.
Haven't made a roster in a while, might as well have made one before we get our all-expected Pokemon Veteran tomorrow.
Or Toad could have the same palette he's always had. They aren't mutually exclusive.
I still wouldn't count on it. There is really no reason for Sakurai to hardly even consider Toad and then change his mind like that in development where again, the roster is finalized.This is the beta version of Snake's Down+Smash move...
The bomb looks different in the final product. Go ahead and play Brawl.. pause the game and zoom to the bomb, it looks different. Sakurai refreshed the entire model of an attack... so what makes you think Sakurai won't do it again? Toad could be replaced with Toadsworth as a human shield so Toad could be playable.

At this point, yeah, if we were to get him it'd likely be his blue appearance because we've already seen Toad's standard colour scheme in a non-playable role, but Sakurai does tend to use the most iconic appearance/colour scheme for characters, and standard Toad is just so much more well-known, so I'd still argue that there's a bigger chance of him not being playable than in his blue appearance.
I'm not saying he couldn't be altered, I'm saying Sakurai already knows how he wants to implement standard Toad's colours, and it's as part of Peach's moveset, so it won't be altered. When did Sakurai say Peach's moves could change, was it after she was revealed? and I doubt Sakurai's mind would be 50/50 on a such an easily good idea for a character.
I think the situation of Toon Link & Toad are 2 entirely different things.
I love that episode too, one of the first ones I ever saw to be in fact, I think it was my second after "Jellyfishing". Anyways yes, the hype is phenomenal at this point! And even if it is Mewtwo that gets revealed and makes my year...I probably won't be around much to celebrate it since I've got some Pokemon to play.

I believe he referred to all characters in general (hopefully includes Mario, and hopefully they get rid of FLUDD), but the fact that he stated it on one of Peach's pics might infer that Peach might get a change, along other characters.
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I hate about the argument. It isn't objective fact; however, it is treated as such. I am not even that big of a Toad supporter. I just hate the picture "evidence" perspective. Dealing in absolutes is ridiculous.
I was about to go delphox, but that chestnaut man... its so awesome so I decided it would be fair to go with my first grass type starter this time around, since I keep picking fire every gen, (except for oshawott and piplup, cyndaquil barely beat chika in gen II).PS: Who else is climbing on Team Delphox? I like the theme of the starters. A mage, a knight and a ninja. I was going Fennekin but I'll probably roll with Froakie, I've had a thing for water starters for awhile now.
The one on the right is Peach's Toad. He's already halfway up her dress. The one on the left is playable Toad. Though, the way he's running, he looks like a Luigi clone.No, it is the same damn thing!

) but...If they were released tomorrow, yeah, I'd be certain of a reveal, but I suppose a character being revealed close to the launch date of X/Y makes sense.
I don't know...Fennekin is practically the only family of fire type starters I actually like as of now. Used to like Charmander, don't care for it now, don't care for Cyndaquil, hate Torchic, hate Chimchar, and definitely hate Tepig. Fennekin...I like everything about it...the refreshing new type, the unique style it was designed in, and especially the fact that it was unexpected...I never saw Fennekin evolving into Delphox...but now that that's the way it is...I love it, it's freaking amazing and it's by far my favorite fire starter. I like Chespin and Froakie as well, but Fennekin just beats them for me.

Same here, I love the RPG theme they're going for, probably my favorite set of starters in a while. Froakie is my favorite of them though, I always did like the rogues.
I always play stealth/rogue/thief in any RPG. So I am going with Froakie. I usually pick the fire type though. This time is an exception because I can just pick Charizard.
Not really. Toon Link is a veteran, whose chances were "affected" due to a stage element in a new stage, while Toad is a possible newcomer, whose chances are constantly affected by a move a character had since Melee.
All of the Gen 6 starters are better than Gen 5's awful starters, at least.
Well, they did that with Pikmin 3, I believe. It was being released on Saturday, so they revealed Olimar on Friday. Right?
