The only retro I want is Sheriff. He has the .44, cant deny it. I don't really care to be honest. I never play as the retro characters like Ice Climbers, ROB, or Game and Watch. They never really appeal to me. I can agree that Takamaru is the most likely.

Him and Pokemon Trainer seem to make the most sense from an advertisement standpoint. Followed by Lucario, then Jigglypuff. While both would bring hype, they don't really have the potential to represent the soon-to-be-released Pokemon X/Y.
This was a moveset I made for him a while back that people seemed to like:
It honestly comes down to the fact that we already got Sonic this month. I don't think that Sakurai would reveal THE most hype character for Smash 4 quite yet. I just don't see it happening. Pokemon Trainer (Charizard) is MORE than enough to properly hype up the game and give people a great character reveal. They are honestly promoting Charizard just as much between Origins and the Kalos region enabling you to pick a Kanto starter. I like to think about who would be the easiest to develop and show early. Jigglypuff is obviously the easiest. Lucario isn't so bad himself. Mewtwo might be a little bit more difficult to nail and showcase so early in development. However, if they are already far into development. Pokemon Trainer would be more ideal anyways.
It would be AWESOME to see Mewtwo, but you're right I really don't think Mewtwo will be shown so early. Lucario and Pokemon Trainer (Charizard) can both equally still give hype to XY. That's why my prediction is Lucario.
lucario could represent x/y and very well too since he's actually more important too the cannon story of mega evolutions than advertiseing like Mewtwo.

Oh how DARE Sakurai want to keep hype for the game. And honestly I get the vibe that people care a lot less about Sonic this time around. Honestly PT, Jiggs, Lucario, and Mewtwo all have their own pros and cons for being revealed and I honestly can't predict who he would use but the bottom 3 go like this to me
Use electricity for downward B and throw bumpers for his forward B.This was a moveset I made for him a while back that people seemed to like:
and of course lots of kicks for his standard attacks, along with use of bumpers could have made him a great character. It's too bad Sakurai thought he was "useless" without his Balloons. :/ It could have just been a hindrance, not an impossibility.
What is wrong with you people. I always see this when someone is pro Mewtwo (highlighted above). What does that even mean? I already stated that Pokemon Trainer and Lucario would maintain hype well enough. It isn't like he needs THE MOST ANTICIPATED character in Smash to follow up on Sonic. He should save him for when people lose interest in Smash. I don't think that Sakurai would blow two of his hype loads at once. That isn't healthy.
