True. I haven't played every game that's been represented in Smash or might be represented in Smash. But generally I try not to comment on series I don't have much knowledge of, or at the very least do some basic research on them beforehand.

u really shouldnt be judging a franchise if u seriously havent played the games. it would be one thing if u havent played a Donkey Kong before, it's pretty obvious who is and isnt that important to the series overall, but Fire Emblem is not the same cup of tea. it has an ever changing roster with seldom reoccurring characters. saying Roy is more important to Fire Emblem is asinine if u really know nothing about the series as a whole.

Guys I was thinking if Sakurai is convinced in getting another pair of characters like the Ice Climbers maybe with a new mechanic or gameplay, who will be a nice addition for that idea, in the past those were the probable pairs:

Melee: Plusle and Minun
Brawl: Diddy and Dixie

Now in Smash 4, does the idea will persist in the mind of Sakurai and if he have a way to implement it now in the game who will be the pair that succeed. Here are my ideas:

Donbe and Hikari
Kat and Ana
Baby Mario and Baby Luigi
Chrom and Lucina
Dion, Max and Jack (I know they are three but maybe Sakurai did find the way to make it work).
Dixie and Kiddy
Lolo and Lala

Or maybe another pair that is not in the list?

You don't actually need to know the backstory of every character to gain a prospective, again the design itself should tell you what's going on from the prospective of gameplay. In fact in some cases, learning about the background doesn't provide anything or causes discouragement.

My buddy Narutendo, for instance, has played FE6, FE7, and FE:A, so when he tells me his justifications for wanting Roy over Chrom, I'm more inclined to listen to him than to someone who only knows the one aspect.

No, but I believe it's delusional to believe that he'd be anything more then a somewhat last minute add on unless that FE6 remake comes earlier then we think (FE6 remake, don't count on it but it's DEFINITELY a wildcard)

100% agree. This is simply bias, and you're angry Roy got cut. Chrom is but an obstacle for you. So you debase him like he's garbage.

You HAVE to research the franchises and games if you really want to be a respected, valid, and knowledgeable speculator, like most people here. Having some beliefs based on opinion is fine, but I at least research the characters and games to back up my opinion. You spit out your opinion like it's undeniable truth, and chastise anyone who confronts it.

I never played a FE, Metroid, or Mother game. But I research the games and formulate possible hypotheses on what could happen in the game.

In POR sanaki makes ike a Lord even tho ike doesn't want to, Even tho in RD there isn't a lord class, ike was still made a lord by Elicinia. Again I just don't see Robin or Anna becoming playable. But if i'm wrong i'll eat some crow but I don't see sakurai going that route.... at all. I still see it as lords only, which means the canidates are, Lucina, chrom, lyn, roy, ike, marth. (again imo).

@ and divine, awakening is a good game, don't knock it till you try it, imo its not the best FE but it's pretty darn good.

It is a good game! Awakening literally made me change my avatar in into Anna ever since playing it. You'll be definitely addicted to the characters, you'll probably do alot of grinding like in Pokemon.

Chrom really doesn't share any attributes with Marth or Ike besides hair, blood, and weapon.

Really. Chrom didn't really remind me of Marth at all in either his actions or fighting style. They even mention this in-game.

Hab, we aren't talking about the design. We are talking about the fact he tried to drop a fact (that's not true) about the game's plot, and he hasn't done anything close to playing nor did he read his "research" correctly.
