Why doesn't chrome be in his Great Lord class.
He can use the FE as a sheild, he can use an axe, lance, and still have some sword moves with the Falchion. That should make him unique enough. And yes, I played Awakening.

Minor nitpick: While Chrom can use Axes through reclassing, he can't use them in his default class line.

Still, it's Chrom getting in on something other than his own merits. And there's no evidence to suggest that Sakurai would care about whether or not a game sold well or not.

I'm arguing for Robin but the way I interpret that interview I have a strong feeling Awakening means a lot to that dev team. I'm sure if Sakurai gave what IS wanted to see in the next game any consideration at all then an Awakening rep would be a large priority

Recency doesn't disqualify a character from getting in, but it shouldn't be/isn't the sole determining factor in their inclusion.

but its a reason. and coming from a popular entry within the series is another reason. and likewise should be the potential the character brings. ive said it before, i dont care about either Chrom or Roy to a great degree, and ive played both of their games (actually just starting Awakening so overall my opinion on Chrom could change). both bring something to the table and have legitimate reasons for inclusions. but overall im gonna say at the moment, my moneys on chrom.

You should seriously read some of your posts out loud and figure that out yourself. I'd probably be fine with Chrom if he made it into Smash tbh, though if it was him or Roy I'd chose Roy. My biggest problem with him is that a lot of his supporters treat him(or some sort of Awakening character) as some sort of inevitability.

Gliding, wall clinging, it'd be a dream come true.
He'd be a tad slower than Sonic, but much MUCH stronger. (Basically, the Dr.Mario to Mario) but with some new specials.

As for new Assist Trophy, I dig Metal Sonic. He'd come into the screen and charge from left to right with his forcefield. His final attack before disappearing would be to attempt a grab-cide off the screen.
