1. Tingle simply can't get in over Toon Link. Clone or no clone
2. What is wrong with 5 Pokemon characters. That was the plan for Brawl. If you think it's that big of a problem then have a fift Mario character, and it doesn't matter if Zelda has less because Zelda had less in the first one. You can't just have an all gen 1 roster and pose the same grave mistake Sakurai made in Brawl just with a different character.
3. Sakurai isn't going to add Namco characters for the sake of being owned by Namco.
4. How do Mach Rider and Takamaru have the same chances when you just listed everything that makes Takamaru more likely than Mach Rider.
5. Lol, Shulk is BARELY important to Nintendo, I can't believe you honestly deemed him one of the most important. Lots of Nintendo Franchises are a major success you know. And how the hell is Shulk more important than Issac!? XenoBlade has ONE game, and Golden Sun had 3, one on DS 3 years ago (the same year as XenoBlade) It's also more welll known.
6. Representing a new series doesn't automatically make you higher priority nor does it make you a remotely important or considerable character. Harry can go to hell and I wouldn't think twice before saying that Masahiro Sakurai doesn't give one long solid **** about Harry. Nobody does and nobody ever will. Sakurai would **** on Harry's face before he ever considered him worthy of being a sticker.

1. And the reason is why? If is personal preference I can understand, but simply saying it will not change my mind.
2. I don´t want to have a fifth Mario character or a fifth Pokemon character. I can simple tell you this new character that can represent a new series in smash to me is more important so New Character (New Series) > New Metroid Rep, New DK Rep, New Fire Emblem Rep > New Kid Icarus Rep > New Pokemon Rep, New Mario Rep, New Zelda Rep > New Earthbound Rep.
3. Is not because is owned by Namco, is because Pac Man is a icon like Mario, Sonic or Mega Man and Namco is working in Smash.
4. Because like I say before until Takamaru get a new entry is still the same game for both sides.
5. No really the difference is that a Home Console Series like Xenoblade tend to have more representation and get fans faster than a Handheld game like Golden Sun despite how many games of difference have one to another, I can tell you even Professor Layton is more famous than Isaac in the handheld market as a character and again you are not counting "X".
6. Yeah, I get that you hate Harry then change it for Starfy, Donbe and Hikari or Takamaru. Happy?

I'm still definitely using Peach and Pikachu. I cannot pass them up. I'll probably try out Samus, Pit, and Bowser just cuz. And I will definitely try all the newcomers until I find a good one for my main for the game (I always use newcomers for my mains in these games). Megaman is a serious contender though. And I want to use Villager, but I don't like gimmicky characters. But I'll try. WFT? Possibly. I had a dream a few nights ago that I had the game, was using WFT, and sucked. I think it's a warning, guys...

Anyone else?

I hope Sakurai reveals a character that is not of Noah's suggestions so he can be forever flawed.
Maybe a character like Anna or Sable, or maybe even Kawashima.

Smash 64 was only a test for Sakurai.

Of course...no chain-grabbing, no wave-dashing, no L-cancelling, it's a terrible game man, so terrible.

Smash 64 does actually have L-Cancelling. It just works a little differently. It also has ridiculous Zero-Death combos.

I don't want to turn this into another Melee vs. Brawl thread(there are already way too many of those), but as a Melee fan I find a lot more wrong with Brawl than it's removal of certain ATs. Honestly though, Smash 4 looks to be a step in the right direction.

If I´m Sakurai I will choose a new series over getting more reps from Pokemon, Mario or Zelda (those have the slots that are needed and feel complete), I would prefer that a series get a new introduction, get revived or have more exposure like Shulk, Mach Rider, Harry, Dillon or the Marvelous Boys than Pokemon (If I want to play with pokemon I will buy a pokemon game and play it).

Your not sakurai though and I hardly believe that he would think like that because he actually cares about the fans he doesent just say "Oh were cutting Ike if you wanna play as ike go play brawl or FE POR!" because sakurai knows having your favorite character cut from a game as big as smash bros is a insult even if it's unintentional as he saw with mewtwo so I doubt he would be that mean or uncaring. So your roster is okay to me but cutting lucario for machrider or especially Harry isnt happening not to mention he's one of the few people in game that have a unique game play mechanic that no one else has.

I don't have that many problems with the roster, but I fail to see how it's "realistic". A more realistic standpoint would be adding minimal characters to already existing franchises, namely Mewtwo, K.Rool and Ridley, and focusing more on newer franchises, which I can see you don't have a classic character to go along with Ice Climbers and Pit. I personally don't think Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem and Starfox need four characters a piece, which could make room for more representation, namely the likes of Shulk, Takamaru, and others. Also, I'd take out Impa and put back in Toon Link.

I'd overall give it 7/10

Agreed with BluePikmin11 but I also don't think 4 FE reps is that realistic either... I'm not going to get into an Impa debate and I'm a bit iffy on DK getting 4 reps (OK I need to just say this. I do not like Diddy Kong, as a smash character I find his personality more annoying then it is funny, and I'm not a fan of his playstyle either... And I am not excited at all about Dixie either, but that's probably just my bias against monkeys...) 8.5/10 from me.

The thing is there is no guarantee sakurai wants to expand very much into new franchises as brawl only added olimar, rob, pit and the 3rd parties as new franchises, in melee they add IC, MGandW, and Fire Emblem. As of now for new franchises he has added AC, and Wii fit trainer. It really depends on what sakurai wants to do.

Don't really think 4 Starfox reps is that realistic.

Know way to know that as so far the only pattern is that they have received a new rep every game.

Personally I would add Lyn over Chrom but chrom is alot more likely unfortunately, I also believe impa is likely to give the zelda franchise a new character without really giving them that much of a new character. Also I forgot Toon Link so he might take impas spot, as he may be more likely than her.

I know he has unique gameplay but for some reason I see if Mewtwo enters again the roster it will get a similar moveset as Lucario with some tweaks. I did´nt take out Ike for the simple reason that Fire Emblem has less reps than Pokemon and I like that my rosters have a balance between all the important series.

He isn't that important and Wii Fit Trainer IS our new rep. So what I said is true and I fail to see the flaw in that claim. That doesn't mean I don't acknowledge the possibility of Shulk. I don't think Pac-Man is getting into Smash either, but he's still on there.

It doesnt even matter if your a melee fan (sure its a bonus) its such a new and awesome game, Ive only had it for 3 weeks now and can say fully its the best smash yet to date, so damn good :3.
