The most sensible character to reveal next is Little Mac, largely due to the confirmed Boxing Ring stage.

Mewtwo might still be unlockable... though, given what a pain in the ass he was to unlock in with Melee, I'd rather have him as a starter lol.Mewtwo makes the most sense to me as the next reveal. It would get a lot of hype going, plus the Pokemon event happening around the time of a character update.
I like the process of having to do a certain thing to unlock characters, especially when it's a bit difficult as well. The only one I dislike a lot is Mewtwo in Melee...seriously a buzzkill just to try and get him. And you can't even get Battlefield, Final Destination, or Dreamland til you get him and G&W out of the way.
Just a thought, but I think it'd be awesome to have a little cinematic clip introduce a character instead of just going Challenger Approaching!!! with a silhouette. Like you do Mega Man's criteria and then, for example, his little reveal on top of the cliff happens and then it ends with a freeze frame of the character and says the classic, Challenger Approaching!!
It's obviously Captain Falcon holding a chainsaw.the only thing I want is that the unlockables aren't so obvious. Would anyone know who this is at first guess?

Too bad most of us got Ganondorf in the Event Match so we all kinda knew it was him. Oh, yeah, unlockables! I'm so happy there won't be a story mode now that the unlockables will be harder to get! It's pure satisfaction when I get a new character. Being young at the time, seeing the likes of Ganondorf and Mewtwo battling me gae me goosebumps. I'm hoping the unlockable "system"will be like Melee.the only thing I want is that the unlockables aren't so obvious. Would anyone know who this is at first guess?

This is probably my favorite roster I've seen. I hope it ends up like that.I realized I haven't posted my current roster yet.
1. 49 slots, 53 characters
2. Mario, Zelda amd Pokémon get 5 slots each.
3. No cuts
Possible replacements:
- Roy can be swapped for Chrom
- Toad can be swapped for Bowser Jr.
- Toon Zelda/Tetra can be swapped for Tingle
It's a good idea. I did like how you unlocked the three at the end, gave some replay value. But say the mode is more like Melee. So say would you progress to the levels and say, if you were Samus, there would only be a part that Samus can get through. She gets through and she is able to fight Ridley. Once you KO him, you complete the level, and then you have to fight Ridley again to unlock him. Kinda how if you unlocked Luigi a la Adventure Mode you had to fight him twice. That's my opinion of what they should do. And, like, use hidden characters for more unlockable stuff. On the whole unlocking characters and stuff.
I agree SSE handled it badly. However some potiental there. I like the idea of being able to unlock everything through the adventure mode. So lets take for example on how SSE had you unlock Wolf, Toon Link, and Jiggs. Now imagine that for every unlockable character and stage in adventure mode done in a Metroid/Castlevania style thing. Basically you have this one huge map and the main goal is to explore this giant map while unlocking stuff along the way. You will be forced to use characters in such a way to get to certain places and not all characters can get to all places and certain places will require a hidden character to get to it. This gives the needed difficulty for unlocking stuff but done in a way that just does feel like a chore. Oh and you can switch between which character you are using whenever you want so that you can easily switch to a character you need to get to a certain place to unlock a certain character and then when you get to the hard to reach place you can switch to a character you feel more comfortable fighting with to tackle the hidden character.
I didn't really like the way Melee was done. I'd enjoy exploring a giant map instead of going through different levels and the idea of having to beat hidden characters twice just doesn't sit well with me. You already went through the effort of beating them once and that should enough. And of course being able to use the character you want to go against them is much more appealing to me then being forced to use a character I am not comfortable with to unlock it. :/It's a good idea. I was looking at the article where he talks about the Adventure Mode. While vague, I do agree with what you were saying now. I think now it will probably be like SSE where there's a map and levels, stages, etc. But there won't be a story, and I hope for there to be levels from different franchises (Hyrule Castle, Underworld?). It possible to have one huge map/level with different themes on it. It is definatly possible to have different themed sections in one gigantic map. Which I though would be obvious from the get go but I guess not. But like say you start in a orignal sections in this giant map and then you decide to travel east and if you travel long enough you will eventually end up in like Hyrule and if you keep on going east you then end up in another section from a different game. However all the sections are connected and are not seperate levels. :/I was looking at the article where he talks about the Adventure Mode. While vague, I do agree with what you were saying now. You fought jigglypuff in that one event, but you unlocked pichu, so that doesn't really work.Too bad most of us got Ganondorf in the Event Match so we all kinda knew it was him. Looks like Magnus.the only thing I want is that the unlockables aren't so obvious. Would anyone know who this is at first guess?

You know, I think any newcomer can build up hype.Characters that would create enough hype, or catch people's attention enough to be shown at next years E3 is a good topic.
I think....
Ridley
K. Rool
Sonic
Mewtwo
Pacman
and possibly little mac.
But I think Mac will be announced sooner.
I agree, if WFT can build hype than pretty much any character can. That said, there are definitely some characters that would cause more hype than others. You know, I think any newcomer can build up hype.
Yea.Okay, I get it now. And sometimes, you can only use certain hidden characters to get past where you are, like you said? I like that idea. Honestly, as long as I don't unlock ALL the characters in less than half a day, I'll be fine.
I agree exept for a few things.Yea.
Like for example lets take Hyrule as an example. You want to goto the nex section in this giant map but none of the characters you have can get to it, you need some with a teleport recovery. So you go looking around Hyrule and you eventually find this out of the way spot but only Link can get to it with his Hook Shot so you switch to Link and use him to get up there. When you get up there, there is a red door indacting a unlockable character is behind it. You can now switch to a character you are more comfortable and go fight the unlockable character who just so happens to be Zelda/Shiek who just so happens to be able to teleport meaning if you beat her you will be able to get to the new section. This is jsut an example.
This idea can even be used to unlock stages to. But instead of fighting hidden character on new stages they could do like boss fights on these new stages or thos team attacks things on classic mode.
There is allot of potiental for an adventure mode like this that is deep and long but wouldn't take up to much space.
I always found it absolutely hilarious that they constantly showed Ganondorf using a sword in the entirety of Melee, be it official artwork, silhouette, victory pose or trophy, yet he's never seen using one AT ALL.the only thing I want is that the unlockables aren't so obvious. Would anyone know who this is at first guess?

Your pictures are done. :3 So, while I suffer from a wave of depression, what's the subject today?Alright everyone! The moment you've been waiting for!
It's ALL DONE! :D
Thank you all for your requests and I hope you enjoy them. Do NOT reply directly to this without removing the spoilers so that there isn't a huge amount of room taken up in the reply. Thank you once again and I hope to do more in the future.
Wow! Those look good. I especially like Lip and King Boo. And the topic today is Adventure Mode and unlocking characters.Good afternoon everyone! How's everyone doing?
Also, for those who didn't see it yesterday...
Your pictures are done. :3 So, while I suffer from a wave of depression, what's the subject today?
Give it 18 more days or so. WFT's reveal was June 11th and Olimar was shown July 12th. We'll likely be shown another character on August 13th or somewhere around that point so as to keep the reveals completely spread out.Damn. No new character today .
Let it be known: If Ridley is too big, Ganondorf is too strong. It's why the former isn't playable while the latter doesn't use a sword.I always found it absolutely hilarious that they constantly showed Ganondorf using a sword in the entirety of Melee, be it official artwork, silhouette, victory pose or trophy, yet he's never seen using one AT ALL.
1. It was an example and it depends on mechanics that return. In Melee Link's Hook Shot was able to hook to walls as well as ledges so they could do that again.I agree exept for a few things.
1: Wouldn't samus' laser whip do the same thing
2: Why would Zelda be unlockable?
3: Switching characters, unlocking them are supposed to be a challenge, that's why I liked subspace. Being able to switch to a main is a horrible idea
4: Why just a teleport recovery, shouldn't someone like pit be even better at that than Zelda
He still has me on ignore, so just tell him having only four Pokemon reps isn't a good choice, if you're going to have a Pokemon Trainer, you keep the Kanto Trainer, too many Fire Emblem characters as it should not match Zelda and Pokemon, Bomberman will never happen before Snake, Sonic's chances of returning are so high they might as well just confirm him, Mewtwo's already being considered so making him DLC is pointless, he should get rid of the idea of Skull Kid because it will never happen, the Dry Bowser idea is just bad in itself, nobody wants to play as DK. Jr before Dixie Kong, and why the hell are 8-bit Mario and Metal Mario considered ideas?New Roster Update! Version 3.5 (Credit to Ariand/AEM for making backgrounds of slots)

Roster Additions:
Pokemon Trainer: I was originally going to have 2 Pokemon Trainers, but I knew that this would be too many. Due to it being very likely a Pokemon character would get cut, I decided to cut Pokemon Trainer for the Generation IV. As popular as his Pokemon are, there are a lot of Gen 1 Pokemon including the addition of Mewtwo. There aren't really any gen 6 Pokemon so far, and it's logical that Newtwo would just be a Final Smash like Super Sonic. So this is my prediction as of now.
Lucario: He may be removed. But, I moved him up to the roster and had Mewtwo as DLC/ Bonus Pack as he wouldn't count as Gen 6. Keep in mind I am not ranking Mewtwo just as possible DLC. I know he will be in the game in some form or another.
DLC Additions:
Melee Pack:
Dr. Mario
Roy
Pichu
Mewtwo
Young Link- No way he'll be DLC. Toon Linl replaced him. Having Young Link would be entirely pointless as we already have a Young Link.
Newcomer Pack:
Medusa - She is a semi-clone of Palutena
Toon Zelda - I protest Toon Zelda. She is excessive an unnecessary, but I have her as DLC because of the code in Brawl and requests.
Donkey Kong Jr - Semi-Clone of Donkey Kong
Isa Jo - from Sin & Punishment
Ray - from Custom Robo
Cuts:
Sonic- To make room for Nintendo Characters and Third-Parties.
Snake- To make room for Nintendo Characters and Third-Parties.
Pokemon Trainer- Make room for newer Pokemon. His Pokemon ARE important, but we have a lot of Gen 1s.

It's because we didn't know who they were, but, know thanks to us being older and using the internet.......I miss how fun it was to unlock characters in melee, I hope sakurai makes it fun like that again.

Any reason why?Am I the only one who doesn't think the Miis are going to be playable fighters?
It can't be done!Simple. Get away from the Internet before release date and don't come back until you unlock 'em all.
Nope.Am I the only one who doesn't think the Miis are going to be playable fighters?
It's alright, nobody needs to tell him. It's not like he'll take it seriously since the narcissism is strong with this one....I'll let someone else tell him that.
It's all up to what Sakurai meant by customization on the 3DS version, because that's the only way I could see the Miis being playable.Am I the only one who doesn't think the Miis are going to be playable fighters?
Literally everything you just said was in my head as I read his post. Everything. Props to you.He still has me on ignore, so just tell him having only four Pokemon reps isn't a good choice, if you're going to have a Pokemon Trainer, you keep the Kanto Trainer, too many Fire Emblem characters as it should not match Zelda and Pokemon, Bomberman will never happen before Snake, Sonic's chances of returning are so high they might as well just confirm him, Mewtwo's already being considered so making him DLC is pointless, he should get rid of the idea of Skull Kid because it will never happen, the Dry Bowser idea is just bad in itself, nobody wants to play as DK. I knew actually, it was how you unlocked them that was fun. Brawl you just glide through single player mode and get em all, it was a bummer. I wanna earn every character. It's because we didn't know who they were, but, know thanks to us being older and using the internet.......
There should be 2 Adventure Modes!
One with starters and the other with Villians and unlockables and a bigger story. We'll call it Adventure 2!
