The trade-off is you suck at Pokemon battling forever.

Ho-Oh didn't make him immortal. He absorbs the youth from his traveling companions and then ditches them once they've run dry!

If there was a Pokemon newcomer, based on uniqueness Zoroark has something really going for him with his illusion ability. Doesn't really matter if Genesect has the spotlight, if it's unique characters he's going for, Zoroark is the answer.

Genesect can also be unique.
They're both unique characters with interesting potential abilities! I don't see that as as something one has over the other.
Honestly, and I'm going on a bit of a tangent here, Pokemon offers some of the most interesting potential characters. That's why it kind of bothers me that everyone settles on Brawl + Mewtwo. That's not to say that's I don't want that! I don't want any cuts and I want Mewtwo back. It's very conflicting. I want something new, but I want it along with everything else. And by "something new" I don't just mean Mewtwo. Too bad that's not very likely.

TBH, I would settle for Genesect, but if it were one or the other, Zoroark is the answer, his abilities are the most distinct out of all of the Smash cast.

Pretty good except why just charizard, thats really unfair to the squirtle and ivysaur fans and why would they waste those good movesets, I also think that lyn is pretty unlikely now but hey whatever, As you requested I won't bring up ghirahim but I think you have a pretty good idea of what I think about him

Let me give you something else, even though what I said before was better.

All took priority over Vaati back when he had a good reason to be playable. Now he doesn't. And these are just some of the trophies from Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Phantom Hourglass. I didn't put them all. And I didn't put all of the characters on stickers that took priority over him. He had 3 whole games before Brawl. He has 0 now. Don't even expect Vaati to get a sticker or a trophy this time around, he didn't when he mattered. But now, he doesn't matter.

All the trophies are either items in the game, or from TP or WW, so there's no way he would have been a trophy. And seeing how most of sticker's were from those 2 games too, doesn't really prove much. The only one from Minish Cap was Ezlo, another extremely important Minish Cap character.

I will not flame you for Ghirahim, besides the fact that I don't think he's likely.

I like most newcomers. But here are my suggestions:

Cut Krystal
Replace Lyn with an Awakening character. She's not really likely.

The rest looks fine. Although I think PKMN Trainer will remain intact.

Unique Pokemon Newcomer ideas?

Why not Abra?

No wait. Hear me out first:

• Cannot deal damage in the traditional sense, although is capable of using items
  
• Fights entirely through grabs and teleporting to throw enemies into stage hazards/off the stage/etc.
• Surprisingly strong teleport throws(would need to be as all he'd have)
  
• Specials all various teleport grapples and telekinesis
  
• Good evasion game
• Thanks to Magic Guard; totally immune to stage hazard damage and item damage(including Pokeballs, Assist Trophies...during SD he'd naturally be affected by the match deciding bombs)
• Good speed and recovery options, can hover with telekinesis
  
• Frail and light weight making him easy to KO...if you can keep up with him.

He's not crucial, but he's a better choice than Chrom by a WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE margin, given the fact that he probably wouldn't wind up as redundant next to our existing FE characters.

More than chrom, and I had an idea what if you could switch between a sword and magic in the same way as Zelda/Sheik. The sword would allow more power while the magic would give more range and a better recovery

He adds in the place of the player character, the Avatar, which is sure to play a much more prominent role in Fire Emblem games to come thanks to its success from Awakening.
