I didn´t said over Ridley, but I forgot Ganondorf, he´s black too. I am just saying that a roster need diversity in gender and ethnicity.

Eh, most Japanese-made games have very few dudes of color in them. Ganon's black, which is a lot more than several other games of Japanese origin, so we've at least got that.

I definitely wouldn't mind having a little more ethnic variety in Smash, but I'd rather not incorporate completely unimportant one-offs to facilitate that.

Where are people getting the idea that the four newcomers are the only ones? I know we're likely getting less of them, but I doubt it'd be that bad.

As a black/latin guy myself, I wouldn't worry too much on it. Not to say I would mind it if we had more diversity in the roster, but only if said characters are warranted to be in the game. I get that a lot of people want to be represented in Games/TV/Movies and the like, I just don't want to add characters solely for that reason. It'd be stupid.

Being black seems kind of a weak link now for diversity in the roster. Anthony should get in on his own merits. Like being one of the few good things to come from Other M.

Ganondorf looks more Muslim than black. At least in OOT anyway, and the Gerudo's too.

You know what he meant. But I do agree with you regardless, the fact the roster is filled so many non-humans is interesting enough.

Eh, nothing wrong with that. I would say that's he's one of the more positive aspects of Other M. So he's cool with me. Though I would say he needs to have more of an impact on the Metroid series as a whole before even being considered for Smash.

Eh, much as I love Metroid, it really doesn't have four strong characters without digging deep.

If we're counting ZSS as a character, we could get Ridley (Fresh Newcomer) and Dark Samus (Wolf-esque Newcomer) and there'd technically be four characters that are all pretty popular and represent different parts of the franchise.

Metroid isn't getting more than one character at this point if you ask me. It's Ridley or nothing for me anyway.

... Yay competative battling? Honestly if I wanted a competitive pokemon in Smash I'd ask for Scizor or Washing Machine Rotom, 'cause LOL a washing machine in brawl. Could be great.

In all seriousness, the only pokemon mentioned recently that I think has a chance as a newcomer is Blaziken; even Gamefreak acknowledged his popularity with his mega form and the event torchic released. That being said I view him as less likely than Mewtwo, Lucario, Jigglypuff and on par with Charizard. That does not help his odds.
