Honestly, if we're talking appeal, I'd want an entirely new character, but that's just me.

I won't deny that he has a lot of generic, but flashy potential attacks to pull from, but he just seems uninspired to me. I mean, other than to add a WTF character...why? The WTF characters that we've had up to this point all fit into another archetype besides just "surprise character". Wii Fit Trainer is a representative of one of Nintendo's newer, more successful series. R.O.B. and Mr. Game and Watch both fill a niche of historical/hardware characters. What reason is there to add Tabuu other than to surprise people?

Having a playable character original to Smash. It also gives Tabuu a purpose now that his army is destroyed and he has no role in the series if not just Adventure Mode Boss because Adventure Mode Boss. Not that we need canon in order for Tabuu to be a boss. Even then he can both.

You never know. Sakurai likes to add surprises and unique move sets. And not only does Tabuu bring that, but again a Smash Original character which seems in order since Smash has produced many of them and has created a style making it more than a crossover of franchises, but it's own franchise with it's own setting and characters.

True. It's not like he's the only one who starts fights. I'd say more about him, but like I said before, talking about someone directly in front of them is extremely rude.

But why is that even necessary? The point of the game is to have Nintendo's all-stars duking it out, isn't it? I don't think Tabuu really counts. If he got in, he'd just be a representative of Smash bros in general. He wouldn't be in because he's an interesting or deserving character. And, if a Smash bros rep is necessary, any other potential Smash character could still fill that role. Primid, Wireframes, Polygons, Sandbag, Dragon King, an original character...why Tabuu? Because, honestly, he was just a boss to be a boss. He was a plot twist with no real depth. Why bring him back to make him relevant? There's no need unless Sakurai really likes the character and wants to bring him back like he does retros.

Chibi Robo. Chances on being a playable character? How about an assist?

I'm going to be honest, as much as I want him in Smash Bros 4...I see him as an assist trophy at best. He could probably use his toothbrush to attack or use the Chibi-Blaster

Most definitely an adventure mode stage on the 3DS version. Hence the "Where am I" showing it's an original creation, and the mention of SSE makes it obvious that it's something to do with singleplayer.
