Where's the source for Meta Knight being planned?

I just remember reading something that said that Dedede and Meta Knight were the only characters that were confirmed to be considered but not added to both SSB64 and Melee.

No, King Dedede was the only Kirby character planned ever until Brawl besides Kirby. Considered? There is no way to know. We can't know if Sakurai didn't consider a character.

I gave reasons when I posted the roster. Not just being a WTF character, but I feel that Sakurai might actually want to add a character original to Smash for once. Not only would Tabuu be unique, but he'd surprise fans as well. This is the 4th installment and it's fair to expect something different for a change. Tabuu is not like Master Hand who is 100% Boss material. He has aspects that would translate great into a playable character if done right and I think that now that Tabuu is existent that Sakurai will do just that. And again, a Smash original character provides something different and is certainly fair considering Smash has birthed so many characters and original things of it's own. And Tabuu is the perfect one to fill that slot.

Disagree if you may. Post facepalm or laughing gifs like Opposum if you want. But, just because a lot of you like or disagree with it doesn't make it's unlikeliness so. The fact that so many people DID agree with it means it's obviously not a preposterous concept. That's saying something given the concepts I've usually proposed that had little to no approval at all. In fact I take the minority over the majority as a good thing as many Smash fans don't know what the **** they are talking about.

If you have any aggressive responses or wanna just go "What the ****, dude? Why would Tabuu be in when he's a boss and everyone somehow thinks he's generic?" Please don't refer it to me. But, rather my friend Mr. Wall. Because I'm tired of arguing on this site with biased users who think they are right about everything and still can't comprehend the concept of unrequested characters.

I predict a Smash Original Rep and that Tabuu is perfect to fit that spot. End of discussion. It's no longer up for debate with me.

Maybe because you're basing something with no precedent solely on your feelings that it does make it's unlikeliness so. The fact that most everyone disagrees with you doesn't really reflect on them.

Were 3rd parties not different last time? Is a portable Smash not different this time? We get "different" things all the time.

Sakurai never expressed any feelings of affinity towards Lip herself, he just remarked that Panel de Pon was a great game after being prompted. He didn't even bring up the topic himself. In fact he questioned how many people would even know Lip, and he wasn't even referring to the west. So let's not blow this whole "Sakurai bias" out of proportion.

No matter what Sakurai says, he IS bias. It's really obvious with Kid Icarus, Kirby, Starfy, and retros.

Good question. I have no clue. Sakurai is a bit too random. The only usually sure fire things we can tell is when a character is going to be revealed.

He has the possibility of using two fire attacks, boomerangs, multiple sword attacks, and a scope that would be easily implemented directly from the SSE. If Sakurai wished to, he would make a moveset out of thin air and give it to the Primid.

Honestly, if we're talking appeal, I'd want an entirely new character, but that's just me.

I won't deny that he has a lot of generic, but flashy potential attacks to pull from, but he just seems uninspired to me. I mean, other than to add a WTF character...why? The WTF characters that we've had up to this point all fit into another archetype besides just "surprise character". Wii Fit Trainer is a representative of one of Nintendo's newer, more successful series. R.O.B. and Mr. Game and Watch both fill a niche of historical/hardware characters. What reason is there to add Tabuu other than to surprise people?
