I was just going over how Snake is more closely related to Sony and how because of that he wouldn't have seemed likely for smash. from what I can remember the whole thing started because someone said Snake would have been more likely to appear in PSASBR than Smash which is true, but as you can see the opposite came true.

ah ok, sorry to jump the gun. Ive heard a great deal of fluff thrown at snake, so i guess i took what you said out of context since many try to use that against him.

I'm curious, why do you like Tingle? Why does anybody like Tingle?

It's fine not to like Tingle. I'm personally indifferent towards Tingle as a character. That doesn't mean that Tingle shouldn't be playable though. Personal dislike is never a reason to disregard a character.
I think Tingle should be playable though because he has done quite a bit when compared to other Nintendo characters. Getting spin-offs from a series that doesn't have many is an impressive feat. He's an important Nintendo character, and that alone is reason for me to gain interest and support him.
His uniqueness as a character also interests me. For me, it's like icing on the Tingly cake. Tingle's personality and abilities, I think, would contribute greatly to making him a very unique addition.
Honestly, I'm surprised people that hate Tingle aren't more open to him being playable. Wouldn't you want to be able beat him up?

Not sure what I'm more disappointed in. The thread or the troll itself.

On the one hand, you guys should all know better. 2014 and the ol' "herp, Nintendo remaking nothing but ****" still manages to send this place into a frenzy. Either a lot of us here are either new or simply naive if that's all it takes to suddenly declare someone as "The next DivineDeity".

On the other hand, the level of uncreativity in that troll attempt, however, leaves me disappointed. I do enjoy a good troll every now and then. It's a skillset to be able to upset and entire group of people at once with words and logic that are either so bad it's hard to swallow as fake, or so good that people react in outrage simply because something totally controversial has no objectively solid counterpoint. Going down the "Wii U sucks because same Mario games" route is just so lazy. Any 7 year old could say that and giggle to himself. At least put in the effort to be either creative or clever, you know? Like, targeting the Wii U's diminishing 3rd-party support. Yeah, something like that would have been better. A troll that goes for shock value isn't any fun for anyone else. It's the clever trolls that rustle people's jimmies with a point that has believability to it (either in the form of its sincerity or backdraft-potent facts). Trolls I wish there were more of than the usual "u mad?" slop...

Sometimes stupid trolls can be funny, but it depends on how stupid they are and how funny/stupid the responses are.

Press releases confirmed that the roster will feature a heavier number of fan requests.

That said, the new directors have an especial focus on balance, followed by marketing potential and notoriety as secondary qualities in characters.
