Their version of Smash would have a really boring roster compared to Nintendo, Sony, Namco, Capcom and others. Though if we get Master Chief vs Fulgore, I am willing to forgive any of Micorsoft's ****-ups.

Here's a few more.

Conker, Gruntilda, Black Orchid, T.J Combo, SaberWulf. And one of the Pinatas from Viva Pinata. I know that would be 3 more KI characters, but they are interesting fighters.

Also Joanna Dark and Sidira from KI3.

Preferably, second party also works. I'm basically trying to think of a "what if?" scenario of Super Smash Sony on the PS1 with twelve characters like the first SSB. So far I've only come up with eight characters, half of which were already in Royale. Spyro and Crash are on it too but I figure it would have made sense back then.

1st/2nd party Sony characters not in PSASBR. Dart (Legend of Dragoon) Gabriel Logan (Syphon Filter), Blasto, Rudy Roughnight (Wild Arms), Arc the Lad, Alundra, Vahn (Legend of Legaia) Jersey Devil, Kingsley (Kingsley's Adventure) Vibri (Vib-Ribbon), and Tomba! There are probably some I'm forgetting.

This is tough. You've got most of the good ones. You could cheat and give two series a second character or add third party characters.
Other than that there's Blasto (while from a horrible game was supposedly popular), Jack Curtis (from Disruptor) and Toro.

And I agree with you. I was just making a crack at PS All-Stars because, and I'm sure many would agree, It's simply Sony Smash Bros. But without the good.

Doc mario was just a last minute clone. sakurai just to hear the doc mario music anyway. He won't be a standalone character, its either alt or nothing.

Sakurai showed distaste for the idea of Dr. Mario being a costume because it would make no sense for him to toss fireballs. Add to the fact Mario is using F.L.U.D.D. now, that lessens the believability of Doc being a costume. One can make an excuse for replacing the fireballs with the Megavitamins and the fire in his F-Smash with electricity like what Project M does, but there is no logical excuse for Dr. Mario using F.L.U.D.D. or some half-assed copy of it.
That, and (going by what cednym said about an older issue of Famitsu) Sakurai picked Doc for more than the music; he picked him since he was from a critically-acclaimed retro title and the fact he was a doctor, which would be present in a violent event such as Smash Bros.

That's interesting. Well, I know one thing to be true. After all the bloody battles that the Smash roster goes through, everyone needs to be patched up. When Mega Man's leg get dismantled, when Luigi gets a black eye, when Samus dislocates her knee, or when Zelda breaks her arm, Dr. Mario will swiftly come in and take care of all their ills. With his brightly colored pills.

So long as they also have the Fever or the Chills.

Okay, then, well, I am sorry. Sorry if I was rude. It's just that, it bothers me when people compare something I don't like to something I do like. the point is, I was just making a joke about how Nintendo fans and Sony fans don't get along.
