Sorry, but that is just a myth, actual fans of the character LOVE TO DEATH what sakurai did him.
He only needs those light balls for play tennis and he'll be fine.

So...one of my friends and I clashed yesterday after he got so paranoid over a couple of things that I disagree on...
1. Yoshi will be cut and replaced by Rosalina (not happening. He's a Yoshi fanboy and he's ******** Marth and Luigi got revealed before Yoshi. I keep telling him he's not going to get replaced but he won't listen)
2. Lucario and Mewtwo will not make the roster and Deoxys will (Deoxys isn't as popular as these two are. Plus, dat rage if one or both don't make it.)

Fiiiiiiiiine. Ten is a rather large percentage of the cast, but fine. It beats another Roy Vs. Chrom debate.
If it's just down to "personal feels" I'd cut:
1. Marth
2. Falco
3. Lucas
4. Snake
5. Jigglypuff
6. Sheik
7. Zero Suit Samus
and then I start struggling once I've disposed of the one's I either dislike or am indifferent to.
I dunno; R.O.B, Lucario and fricking Meta Knight for the last three? I don't really dislike enough of the cast to want any of them cut though and Marth is obviously already revealed.
Hell, I'd of been fine with NO 3rd parties at all, but we're getting Sonic back and Pac-Man has a shot.
Seems like less of a therapy session more a "what're your least favourite brawlers" topic, tbh.

Well, that's bad, can Mods or any upper authority in general delete threads rather than just lock? cause it would just look terrible to have those threads just be at the bottom just sitting there.
granted its a huge chunk from brawl. and i didn't say it but i meant all playable characters, though it looks like people understood. the reason i ask is because it's kinda blech when these titles get to big. right now it's full of about 40 characters you enjoy equally, though people in the competitive threads maybe not so much, but one or two you'll play more than the others by a large percentage each game, no? so cutting 3-4 from a roster of 40 characters isn't so bad. but what happens when you've got 10 smash games in your library 15 years from now and in each one who ever the new character was whoops as up and down? like falco and marth did in melee, like meta knight and snake did in brawl, like villager will undoubtedly do in 4? they didn't go to namco bandai because of their awesome work with tales and pac-man. they went their because of tekken and soul calibur; they went for the fighter makers.
which of course blows a huge gaping chest hole in any argument i had right? i mean look at tekken tag 2 that game has got everyone and it's not like the tag mechanics put a focus on the strengths and weaknesses of such characters? or soul calibur they never cut characters there right?

I kinda want Kawashima in Smash just to see what Sakurai could do with him and to see all your rage on here.
If he gets in, he better have a unique and new moveset and playstyle that sets him apart from everyone else, though.
