It's a bit on the short side (might be around, if not a little bit shorter than Super Mario Land). The difficulty curve is perfectly balanced IMO.
And it definitely is really fun to play.

Haven't played Mole Mania to be honest, is it good? :O

I'll see when I will get to play it, currently I'm saving up for Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy and Zelda A Link Between World's but I'll get to it sometime.

Yah it's pretty fun but the movement can be a little clunky sometimes from what I recall... :/

That does remind me. I have yet to download Balloon Kid off the 3DS eShop, I haven't even finished Mole Mania yet.... I wouldn't mind if we got a few more characters from the Game Boy generation (or Nintendo handheld games as a whole really) playable in Smash.

I wouldn't mind either, I would really love to have Prince Sable.

Why wouldn't we have Porky? A villain who is practically impossible to clone, could be a unique heavyweight, and has appeared in Mother 2 & 3, so it balances out Ness (Mother 2) and Lucas (Mother 3). Porky has also appeared as a boss in Brawl, so that helps his chances too.

Porky is the link between the already represented games in the series, and is pretty much the main troublemaker in both games, even having Giygas at his will by the end of Mother 2.

There's no reason for Mother to surpass 2 representatives though, it was lucky enough to get even 2, and I'm saying that as quite a big fan of the trilogy.

And I've said it once and I'll say it again, while Ninten isn't necessary, it's the only reason MOTHER would warrant 3 characters in the first place.

I'm curious to know why you consider another PSI wielding main protagonist more deserving than a non-PSI wielding villain (even the one in two games), though.

Umm, how about representing the rest of the plot? MOTHER isn't about a gang of psychic kids slapping their ***** together. A villain would be a nice addition. Certainly more interesting then a third, and highly irrelevant, main protagonist.

Chances are there is probably only one or two surprising additions left (or at least less popularly requested) and most of the others would probably have at least a good amount of popularity. But that's just me really. :/

I made Chozo because I was trying to think of a good third Metroid Rep. And someone told me that idea on my judging thread

I made N64 because I grew up with the N64 and that was the only system I played until the wii

I made Bleck because SPM is my favorite wii game

I made Morshu because my friend Dunsparce requested me too.

I made MissingNo. because I saw the "Easter egg" in x and y but also for no reason. And it is somehow my most supported thread.

I made Robotnik because I just thought that he would be a cool character to play as and I made it on a day when people were talking second Sonic rep.

And I made FF heroes because I was trying to think of a unique and original way to represent the ff series in smash while staying close to nintendo.

So no, I don't make them for the sake of being random.

DLC would make it justifiable. The Mother fanbase would more gladly pay for another character, more so than most other characters' fanbases, considering how devoted the fanbase is. Since all the possible choices for another EarthBound representative comes off as easy C-list choices compared to the likes of Little Mac and Ridley, the likes of Porky or Masked Man being added in would be based off of demand rather than "representation". That said, I don't think Ninten overshadows either of the Mother antagonists for support. Hell, I'm pretty sure there's currently more Jeff and Poo support than Ninten. In a DLC setting, the money-maker would be the one added, which is why I have my doubts for Ninten being DLC for that purpose. Meanwhile, Porky has familiarity from Brawl, a play-style that would be more niche to the EarthBound cast in Smash Bros., and is easily a fan-favorite to the series as a whole. When expanding this all out to an audience that may know nothing about EarthBound at all, between "Ness's little brother that can shoot beams" or "The pig-like kid who fights with dirty tricks", who do you think will sound like the more enticing choice as a brand new character?

And still going for Ninten, he represents Mother less than Porky, ironically enough considering that's the reason you support him. Ninten would represent "Mother series protagonist" and "EarthBound Zero representative". Porky would represent "Mother series antagonist", "Non-PSI user", and "Recurrent character" all at once. Ninten represents one game of the series, but Porky represents an entire chunk of the series as a whole. Ninten's only promotion potential is for the first entry in the series, an NES title that was last acknowledged by Nintendo in 2003 in the Mother 1+2 port and hasn't been mentioned since. That type of niche would work if we were passing off Ninten as a retro-rep, but then he immediately faces stiff competition in Takamaru, Lip, and Mach Rider. Porky on the other hand promotes both EarthBound on VC and support for a localized Mother 3. Objectively speaking, Porky is the better choice.

All this is assuming the vocal majority wanting Waddle Dee and Krystal don't get in the way of a DLC Mother character in the first place, considering either of those have much more sales potential than either Ninten or Porky.

Porky is definitely the number one choice for a DLC character, considering hardcore Smash fans and EarthBound fans would buy him in a heartbeat, and some "casual" players would as well. Price him at ten bucks and Nintendo can make quick cash. Of course, DLC matters on whether or not Sakurai wants to continue working on the game post-release. I'd be pretty surprised if Nintendo didn't give us extra content for one of their biggest cashcows that only comes once a gen.

I think he's pretty different enough to be his own character, an alt. costume for Little Mac would not make any sense.

It would be funny if you could play as the Trainer himself. Using the Fishing Rod or Bike for attacks.

some ideas I had were throwing rocks safari-zone style, riding a bike, and temporarily capturing opponents in pokeballs(but without them taking any damage, it would be too OP).

I think Sakurai would go for adding veterans that didn't make it in the final game as DLC before adding completely new characters. I'm fine with either, honestly. I'm sure Nintendo knows Smash's potential now, it has a huge dedicated playerbase that would pay for new costumes, stages, tracks, and characters so I don't see why they wouldn't go for supporting what is arguably their biggest game this gen so far after release.
