Uhh... Well there are some videos up now on my youtube, they are of abysmal quality. The way I got them was I saved the replay on my sd in my wii, then I pointed my macbook at the screen with photobooth on while I played the replay. That explains the horrible flippy-ness.

uhh, if you can see what's going on comments are cool, I have gotten better since then, these are from like 2 months ago... Anyone got any tips on how to get a better quality video that does not require me to buy any expensive equipment?

Haha, I didn't know you meant the video was actually flipped when you said 'flippyness'. I'm pretty sure there's a way to fix that through a program.

They all seem to be working for me...

But in all honesty the quality is just too terrible...
So this thread should be mainly about telling me how to fix this problem...

Lots of rolling.
Excessive Dins.
Not enough sweetspots. (Consider learning to spike for edgeguarding purposes instead of Din. Din is a useless move. It's KO power is rather small, so therefore it's sole purpose is damage, however Zelda can kill at at 60 percent. Even 0 percent with some practice, so she doesn't need the damage build up. Just cut to the chase and kill.)

Spacing as a result of the rolling is also an issue. Watch your opponent at all times. There is no reason to watch Zelda since you know what you're doing. "watch" the space around pit. This will let you space, block, counter and avoid attacks much more efficiently.

Generally you have a well rounded use of Zelda. You know when to grab and when to smash. I like that you use the d-tilt lock > d-smash, but you didn't follow it up. Aparently lots of Zeldas think it's a good idea to use Din from the ledge. It's not. I fail to see the purpose behind it. It's not gonna kill, it's too laggy to use before a sweetspot, it's easy to avoid, therefore bad for edgeguarding... It's pretty useless.

How are you recording the videos? Tell me everything, beginning to end. I think I can help.

If your saying Din's is bad for edgeguarding, it is certainly not. Din's is useful for characters that have gliding attacks & require a lot of movement to recover. Its not that useful when their coming from the top because they can airdodge, but it does add pressure. Dair is a little more risky & it is a great spike, but it is hard to land on a smart opponent.

A better strategy would be to Din's Fire a little, then try for an aerial kill.

If your playing Zelda w/ no risk, Din's Fire is ok for edgeguarding, but if your a risky player try for the aerial kills because they are more rewarding.

Thanks for the comments they are all greatly appreciated! I can't wait to find a better way to do this lol!

The thing about me getting replays playing this kid (slash) is that I am trying to get him to play A LOT better because he is bad... So if I do something that worked once I keep doing it until he figures out how to get around it... Its a learning process.

He is also bad at recovering so dins tends to work a lot against him... I really wish I had some from when I played in tournaments because they were so mych better A LOT less din's. I am still fairly safe though and I will definately keep that in mind. And what do most people after they d-tilt d-smash someone? I usually just dins because I think they go too far away but any other options would be awesome.

I'm not saying Din is a bad move in general. It has it's moments, but for edge-guarding I just think there are better choices. Namely all aerials besides Nair.

^ pretty much agreed, the only time I would really rationally choose Din's is when I am at a dangerously high percentage.
