Hey, guys, how about a stage where you fight on top of Ridley's back? He's so big and awesome that fighting on him as he flies through the skies of Zebes, Talon IV, Norion, or the Space Pirate Homeworld while generic flying Metroid enemies occasionally swoop in and Ridley letting loose his classic roar, claws, and fireballs would be one of the awesomer things of all time.

Hmm... you know, it's extremely possible for Ridley to be BOTH a stage AND a boss...

In fact having him as a stage would support him being a boss. Just picture it, in adventure mode you're, say, fighting Primids or whatever on Ridley's back, he dumps you off and then you have to fight him. It'd be a pretty sweet stage, really... but doesn't do much for the "Ridley for Brawl" contingent.

Wow... I thought he might have been referring to the location that is also named 'Ridley', which is where you fight Ridley in... Zero Mission I think? I am disappointed... Where are these people getting the idea that Ridley is so vastly huge? Someone once even compared his size with ANDROSS, the thing that eats jet plane size vehicles. Ridley is usually around twice the size of Samus, and from what I can gather, Ridley is about 15' 4.9" tall. (Atleast in Super Metroid) He's even smaller than that in Zero Mission.

As a multiplayer stage, this won't happen due to Ridley being playable and what not. I can't even see this as an Adventure mode stage...

I think Deva thought in MP3: Corruption you fight Ridley on his back. You never fight on his back, ever. In every game where you're even touching him, he grabgs you, and is holding you. Same goes with MP3. Wat fun would a fight be on a dragon...that'd be even LAMER then Pokéfloats and Brinstar Depths combined. That wreaks with suckage.

You see him gliding in the background, he comes closer, "OHH ****!!" he lands on the stage and blasts everyone away with missiles or dragon breath, he's the size of the level, and he roars triumphantly. Compare that to a smaller version of him with limited moves, underpowered, leveled off with a character like Diddy.

Think about it. You guys act like stupid kids who think "OMG ITS A DRAGON - COOL CHARACTER!!11" No. He's a ****ing badass, and if you make him a character you're going to ruin his rep as the baddest mofo in the galaxy.

My reasoning is valid, and as proven in the past, people will attack me for this just because it ruins their grand ideas - which are ********. They don't want anyone ruining the chances of them getting what they want, or don't like negative thinking for something that they like.

Well, his height wouldn't really matter for this. Even at 15 1/2 feet tall standing, the length from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail and that of his wingspan (ya know, the parts you'd be fighting on) would be significantly longer, maybe upwards of 30 feet which I'm sure is longer than the main platform of Yoshi's Story, Mute City, and Warioware and maybe close to the length of the main platforms of the SSBB Yoshi's Island or Smashville. Add in one or more things to stand on that fly above him while you fight and you have a perfectly functional stage.

Pokéfloats is awful, and Big Blue is hardly bareable. FoD is the awsomes. If anything, it should be a trophy tussle stage, like Link and Mario should be. That'd be pretty neat then.

And for the size complaints, Bowser is 20 feet tall in SM Sunshine. Kirby is 6 inches tall in all the Kirby games. Ganondorf is 8 1/2 feet tall AT LEAST! That means Ganondorf is 17 times Kirby's Height, and Bowser is 40 times as big as Kirby. It'd be like you fighting the Empire State Building. In smash, anything and everything is modded. Because it is TOTALLY REALISTIC.

Like 2 fighting plumbers, a guy who fights with farts, a stealth-master (who is cooler then Chuck Norris), a really fast dude in spandex (who actually is Chuck Norris), space animals, green 5 feet tall dinosaurs, apes, monkeys, 8 1/2 feet tall people with swords, a psychic princess, a princess fighting with golf clubs, pans, tennis rackets, turnups, and a 3 foot tall guy who's 2 feet head, 1 foot everything else, a king penguin with a hammer who can float, and is like a pufball, two psychic 12 year old boys, a little boy with a sword in tights (nice legs), a man in tights with a sword stuck in medical times, a women running around in a blue suit (basically naked), a women in a 1,000 pound suit, a 6 inch puffball, two eskimos who can use the powers of ice, two electric rodents, a genetic human and earliest life being copy, a puffball who sings, a 2D guy that looks like a child's drawing, a blue-haired guy wih a fast sword stuck in the middle ages, a red haired guy with a sword stuck in the middle ages, a blue-haired guy with a two handed sword that is twice as big as he is, a plumber disguised as a doctor,a giant 20 foot turtle with a spikey shell, who breathes fire, kidnaps princess, and fights plumbers, and a whimp hiding behind a dragon, a leaf, and a turtle TOTALLY IS REALISTIC.

Anytime someone says Ridley is too big, I'll just quote myself, and pwn them from now on. So go on, TELL ME HOW THAT DISPROVES RIDLEY!

So why didn't you save it until someone did, Johnknight1? Bowser was really big in SMS but he's his SSB size in SMB3 and Kirby being the size it says in his little profile thing in SSB doesn't make sense in the context of his games and anime. And, since they really don't care about size anyway, Ridley could be shrunken down to be playable or blown up a little to be a stage.

Also...ya, wide things like Giga Bowser and the Landmaster as well as the Pokémon Trainer would look rather awkward if you fought on Ridley's head, back, and tail but not so much his wings so I'm leaning more towards a Venom-type orientation.

And whats up with those mentally ******** people that say that he would be a "Dumbed down character" and that it would serve him better as a boss? I mean tell me in melee Pichu!! was more important that Giga bowser and all the event matches combined... do you know why!? YES! because he was a playable ****ing character, you see him every time you want to play a match (Whether you pick him or not) and if you do decide to play as him you can spend countless hours on him... not like a boss which you will spend 5 minutes on... at most.

And smashbro i suggest you never make a suggestion again if that one is anything to go by.
