Just tried it out, placing Machine Passage from Kirby Air Ride on Halberd (because that song is SO MUCH more fitting than Frozen Hillside). On its own the codes work great aside from a little bit of sound popping (likely the music file). Unfortunately having other codes on for some reason causes irritating screeches when the music plays, so unless I'm doing something wrong or it's related to the file I used, the music replacement currently only works well with no other code. =/

Really? I had a few graphical issues but I assumed they were from the Smash64 CSS code I had on, as I had similar problems before with that code.

So basically you can't use this code for Brawl+ quite yet?

What's the samplerate and volume of the BRSTM you used?
Actually, scratch that. Just try this one, which I've been using for about half a year now with no issues. If it messes up, then it's a code causing the trouble.

I doubt it's the brstm file. Somebody else brought up the screeching issue, and they also mentioned it going away when they uploaded only the File Replacement code. It's very likely the code itself. =/

Won't stop me from at least trying to put one particular song on Brawl. Just gotta go through the necessary steps to convert it to .brstm.

Uhh, that code is no different. Did you link to the wrong place? PW mentions nothing about Brawl+

Anyway, by the by, when using stereo WAVs with Androu's Brstm tool, I've heard the rate has to be 32000Hz, and that the format has to be 16-bit. Can anyone shed any light?

The code IS different. The old was version 3.1 the new is 3.2a.

Not true. 32000Hz is only how fast it'll be read (I think?) but overall I've had mine at 44Khz and 48KHz and it hasn't had an issue for me. Also, I have a new tool posted for anyone that uses the SD music code in case they want to do their own custom music.

Looks Promising, especially with the stage picking and stuff so you don't need the song list. Also, do you know anything about the 16-bit thing.

Nope, I've been using the default settings and it's worked fine. Frankly I don't think the program cares if it's 32Khz and 16-bit, it converts anyway.

Thanks! By the by again, does this happen to work on SD cards(as in, the program is ON the SD card.) My hard drive is kinda full, so I store my stuff of SD cards. Either way, I'll be switching to this soon. Sorry Androu!

The format has to be 16-bit because the WAV -> DSP converter will only take 16-bit WAVs. The rate can be whatever you want, although larger rates will increase the filesize by quite a bit.

So because of the 100+ lines of code, its impossible to fit brawl+ and this code in the 256 limit correct? maybe that's what phantom is working on.

EDIT: got it working, but my song keeps looping at about the 1:10 minute mark, is that just incorrectly identified length during the process?

The rumor of streaming music deteriorating SD cards........

This won't happen if we use the code but don't replace music right?

Can somebody even confirm that theory?

They only deteriorate if you write to them...reading has no effect on the SD card whatsoever.

The song is also very long (5:30) so does it have to be under a certain length? I suppose I'm asking alot of questions for a relatively new code, I'll wait patiently >_>

Welp, fixed my problem from earlier. Apparently I forgot to turn off the previous File Replacement code. Still has occasional freezes at either character select or stage select though.

Anywho, does this work with sound effects and voices? Would be REALLY interesting to do stuff like use Marth's Melee sword slash sound in place of Brawl's (I love that cutting sound), or insert Japanese voices (Personally, I prefer a female sounding Ivysaur and a less annoying Pit, lol, and it'd allow me to keep English Snake and Sonic by just leaving their voices alone), or insert Roy's and Doc's or other voices to work with character mods, etc.

Sounds to me like you didn't put the ending length of the song in correctly with Androu1's Tool. Go back and do that, MAKE SURE to look at the length.txt for the part that says "Length: XXXXXXX samples" it has to be in samples and type it into the part where it asks for the ending length of the song, make sure it is typed correctly.

got it working, forgot to change format to samples, THX!
(Waits patiently for Brawl+ to implement)

An SD card, or any electronic storage media for that matter, is only degraded by writes. You can read from it an infinite number of times with no damage to the SD.

Something is weird. I have a custom song on my Menu from my SD card. And while i was choosing my character my wii made a screeching noise. (I have Textures and music hax only)
Then once i chose my character and went to the stage. I just blew up out of nowhere all 3 lifes. Then my wii started making screeching noises. So I turned off my Wii and tried to restart everything again. But it wouldnt find my SD card :/. So I had to format my SD card for it be read again. Am I the only one that has had this problem?

I didn't know where to post this >_>
So I posted here

Whichever one Brawl+ has. That's when it happened to me. I just decided not to stream music from brawl+. Since my own GCT has 3.2a

The latest 4.2 Beta uses 3.2a, are you sure you're using that?

Anyone know how to change the titles of the songs?
Most likely through a hex editor as previously stated, but if/when a tool is released that allows us to do that more easily it'll be awesome. What would be more badass than reading "Under Heaven Destruction" as the song starts playing ? :)

I keep freezing when picking a character, could this be too much streaming or something? It never froze when i tried it out for the first time, but now it just freezes alot.

Nifty tip: If the song is slowed down by the 32000hz playback then you can speed it up to compensate. Ex: If you're starting hz is 44100. Simply divide 44100/32000 to get 1.3125. This is the constant by which you must speed up your song. If you're using GoldWave, go to time warp and set the speed to 131.25 percent and then voila, perfect quality.

I think i know why it keeps freezing when selecting a character. i removed the custom musics on the menu, and now it works just fine. So, must be because having custom music and loading up textures at the same time takes too much streaming.
