(Since the DOJO!! literally called it The Dark Fox, it may be hinting toward a dark team. Definitely not certain, but it's a hint.)

Bowser: Black shell, red hair

Well, I take it there are SIX colors for each character...

so, that means some *Luigi* need 2 more colors to be equal. It appears that they will all share a similar pattern in colors.

I really like the dark costumes. The Dark Link and Dark Fox costumes are really cool and I can't wait to see Dark Meta Knight. The Dark team sounds like a really good idea. You could have dark vs. light, or good vs. evil, or whatnot. Looks like a cool idea.

I don't know or care whether the dark costumes become part of the story, I just want to see a Dark Team, purely for the sake of being completely awesome.

Is there any word yet, that the Pokemon Trainer's alternate dark costume might be the black/red/grey Team Rocket outfit you see in the card game and manga? I am gonna need a high quality pic of that as soon as it comes out, if that rumours true. I want to do a Team Rocket member cosplay from something that everyone will recognize instantly, and is more associated with BRAWL then Pokemon. Love the character design of the villains of the Pokemon series, but sort of don't play the Pokemon games themself, (with the exception of Pokemon Puzzle League) and I think if I did that versoin of the outfit people would know I'm more of a BRAWL fan, then a Pokemon fan...but it has to exist first. I hope it will exist.

It seems like the obvious thing to do, if each characters gonna have a dark costume.

It'll vary by character for me. I would play a Rocket Grunt PT or a Soar Mario, but I'm not the black Captain Falcon or the dark Pikachu.

The Rocket costumes are the same in the games as they were in the cards/anime (excluding Jessie and James, of course), etc.

If they do give every character a dark costume, I have a hard time thinking that PT wouldn't get the Rocket Grunt uniform. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any news confirming the inclusion of (or lack of) such a costume.

well, this COULD affect Story mode in a certain way, or at least Classic, you know, against your dark self.

When you say Mario's Black costume do you mean Soar Mario from Galaxy?
And Shadow may look evil but that's just in a bad-*** kind of way. Mephilles from Sonic 06 is an Option.
