Alright, I now there have been thousands of threads like this, but I was wondering earlier about something: How do I record a video of a game, without spending a lot of money (to me, anyways) on a capture card or gamebridge? Well, I thought it wouldn't be hard to get certain wires to hook my Wii to the computer, but then that posed another problem: How am I going to play it? I figured there might be something out there that will help me with this, cause I would much rather download fraps and use that then dish out $60+ dollars for something.

PS: I still need the extracting programs, to anyone who cares.

edit: To anyone who might not understand what I asked for: I need a program that will let me play my Wii on the computer once it is hooked up.

If all you want is to play on your computer, you just need a capture device, like always, so you can get the output from the wii into the input of the capture device, thus getting your gameplay onto your computer screen. And gamebridge seems to be the easiest solution for most, with the easy USB compatibility, but really it can be anything of a similar nature.

That's the problem: I really don't have money for a capture device. I have found a few things that look cheap and will get the job done, but some of them require a nine-pin connector that I just don't have. This whole video capturing business is confusing.

I also have a question. My TV has a S-Video cable slot, and so does my laptop. So if I plug up the S-Videos, and the Wii, will Fraps/Hypercam work?

According to the others, no. But if you get the Wii cables that have s-video compatability, then you can, if you hook your wii up to the laptop....I think.
