Reaction to Palutena!

I was never a supporter of her and knew that she was obvious. That said, I never hated her. The trailer was incredible, it just wasn't as exciting as seeing Greninja's trailer because I knew she would be in.

So I guess I'm neutral.

It might sound kind of silly but i actually got a little emotional during it, not only is Palutena one of my favorite characters from my favorite game but the way they just presented the trailer was amazing, I just love the anime art style and the way they chose to present the whole scene was amazing. It's a little embarrassing but i teared up a bit at the end!

I was cosplaying her that morning at a Smash Bros. gathering. So my reaction and the reaction of the people nearby was as loud and hilarious as you'd expect. Practically worship.

I had a pie slammed in my face, so I was kinda angry at the time. My reaction was basically, "Oh it's Palutena, cool."

As soon as she showed up in that first frame I was like "YES, I KNEW IT!".

And I just was smiling and laughing the whole trailer, while also wanting a Smash Bros anime.

Admittedly, the animation quality isn't that great other than the close ups, but it's forgivable since there wasn't a lot of anime footage anyway

My reaction wasn't as great as it should've been because I was watching it in my laptop with a bunch of other people in the room who were watching tv, so I had to have the volume off and basically my heart rate went flying but I couldn't say anything because everyone else would've yelled at me to shut up... And I had to rewatch the trailer later that day so I could hear what was said...

In Uprising, "The Power of Flight" was granted to Pit by Palutena. He couldn't use it without Palutena (or Viridi) controlling it.

Though I suppose I just answered the predicament - in Smash, maybe Viridi is granting the Power of Flight, at least when Palutena is fighting Pit.

HA oh god that would be awful! And kind of hilarious... Anyway, I do see your point. And even though it was slightly unfitting for her to do, I'm glad they still kept her character by having her send pit off the way she did.

It's not unfitting for Palutena at all. She has a freaking ***** fight with Phosphora over looks. She's incredibly spunky and trollish. And she teases Pit about having naughty thoughts. And she has a huge ego. Flaunting her body like that is incredibly in character for her.

Plus, Smash Bros is essentially "Fan Service: The Video Game". Even Peach has always been very sexualised in Smash compared to how she is in the Mario games. The way Smash Bros' success pretty much depends on great fan service of all kinds is the reason why I would be totally down for Rosalina getting a swimsuit as an alt costume! :V

The moment the screen transition for Palutena's reveal started, I turned to my girlfriend and said, "Watch. It's going to be Palutena."

Then Palutena was immediately revealed. I felt very pleased with myself.

Believe me Kid Icarus Uprising is very great! In my opinion its the best game I've ever played. ^^
